Blyth council closer to new entrance signs Blyth got a little closer to having three new entrance signs after an hour-long meeting Wednesday night with a local sign-maker. Councillors discussed possibili ties with Dave Hemingway of Woodway Industries for more than an hour at the Feb. 13 council meeting. Most of the discussion revolved around whether the signs should be illuminated or reflective, how much information should be on the signs and how large the printed area should be. Still undecided however is the location and design of the signs. Councillors seem to be leaning toward a slightly smaller version of the sign now at the south end of the village, for the northern edge of the village on Highway 4 and smaller signs, more like billboards, on County Rd. 25 at the east and west. Separate signs were discuss ed to show what local service clubs were active in the community.
