Ladies’ high was Margaret Taylor; ladies’ lone hands, Addie Hunking; ladies’ low, Laura Lyon; men’s high, Lome Snell; men’s lone hands, Don Buchanan; men’s low, Vietta Hoggart (playing as a man). Step Aside Please’, sermon topic Greeters at Londesboro United Church on Sunday, February 3 were Tom and Genevieve Allen. Ushers were Sharon Bergsma, Erin Horbanuik, Kara Lee Potter and Rhonda Howatt. The sermon topic was “Step Aside Please’’. Senior Youth Group will meet for skating at the Blyth arena Sunday, Feb. 10 from 2 - 4 p.m. The Confirmation Class will meet Thursday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Paul’s Place. Choir practice will be held Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7:45 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 10 and 17 at 10:30 a.m. with over 200 guests present. The sympathy of the community is extended to Hazel and Les Reid on the passing of Hazel’s sister, the late Mrs. Noble of Wingham. K 4 /J K A / i| / V / The annual meeting of Londes­ boro United Church was held at the church on Monday evening, Janu­ ary 28 at 7:30 p.m. Bert Lyon order. Rev. Chairperson Kelland was the 1989 meeting were read. Some business from the minutes was discussed. The nomination report was given by Gordon Shob- brook. Reports of organizations and committees were adopted as read with a few changes. Huron-Perth Presbytery delegates were named: Betty Archambault and Ruth Shad­ dick. Ruth Vincent will be alternate delegate. All new members were accepted as read by the nominating committee. The treasurer’s report was given by Jean Fox. The auditor’s report was given. The next item was Budget 1991. Mission and Service allocation for Shuffleboard 1991: congregation $2,100, U.C.W. $1,400, Total $3,500. It was dis­ cussed what to do with the Special Fund of $1,200. Donations were made to Hope International Bibles for Russia and the Bible Society. A review of the congregation’s rela­ tionship with Auburn United Church was given. The agreement will go on for another year and will be reviewed at next year's annual meeting. New business was dis­ cussed. Next year’s annual meeting will be held on February 10, 1992. It was decided that church will re­ main at 11:15 a.m. Two auditors were named for 1991. Ken Hunking will be an alternate. A letter was read from Muriel Coultes. Courtesies were given. Paul closed with prayer. THE TOWNSHIP OF MORRIS St. Helens club holds rally St. Helens snowmobile club held their poker rally on Sunday, Janu­ ary 27. This was the first in the past three years. There were 413 hands sold. The route was approximately 25 miles. Winners were: Scott Stevenson of Belgrave, Ken Foxton of Wing­ ham, Keff Leitch of RR 4, Goder­ ich, Dennis Mousslaw of Windsor and Scott Rintoul of RR 2, Luck­ now. NABISCO SHREDDED WHEAT 450G.
