Phone 523-4360 Youth delegates tell UCW of Toronto trip Huron MPP Paul Klopp an­ nounced last week that the Town­ ship of West Wawanosh will re­ ceive a $12,978 community plann­ ing grant from the Province ot Ontario. Speaking on behalf of Municipal Affairs Minister Dave Cooke, Mr. Klopp said the grant will be used to The January meeting of Londes­ boro U.C.W. was held at the church on Monday evening, Janu­ ary 21. Ushers were Danny Hoggart, Billy Jim Scott and Lawrence Bergsma. The sermon topic was “May 1 have a cup of water?” Confirmation class will meet Friday, February 1 at Paul’s place from 7:30 - 8:45 p.m. Junior Youth Group will be skating at Clinton arena Saturday, Feb. 3 at 5:30 p.m. They will go out for supper after, so bring your money. There were 10 tables of cards. Each committee reported on their activities for the past year. conduct a study that will provide the Township with information to develop its first ever comprehen­ sive zoning by-law. “I am pleased that the govern­ ment of Ontario is able to provide this funding,” Mr. Klopp said. “It will enable the community to establish goals and work out ways of achieving them.” Community planning grants are designed to encourage municipali­ ties to resolve local land use planning issues concerning the Province and local governments. The grants may also be used for planning documents such as official plans, and studies to enhance local planning practices. 4 tables in play at euchre party There were four tables in play at the euchre party held at the Community Hall on Tuesday even­ ing, January 22.
