Program helps to develop agricultural leadership skills Would you like to develop your leadership skills to serve agricul ture and the agri-food industry? The Advanced Agricultural Leader ship Program (AALP) offers a unique opportunity for you to do just that. A fourth class of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program will start in September 1991 Deadline for application is April 30. Application forms will be available at a series of information meetings. AALP is designed for men and women in the early stages of a leadership career, approximately 25 to 40 years old. Participants are farmers, employees of agricultur ally-related business and other individuals concerned about the future of the agri-food industry. The program consists of nine three-day seminars, a two-week North American travel seminar and an international study travel exper ience, spread over a two-year period. Through the program AALP participants broaden their horizons; increase their under standing of the local, national and international issues which affect agriculture and rural Ontario; and develop skills to analyse and cre atively manage change. To find out more about this dynamic program and the selection procedure attend an information meeting or contact AALP Executive Director, Patricia Mighton, Box 1030, Guelph, Ontario. N1H 6N1.
