PAGE 20. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9, 1991. Obituaries JOAN EXEL Joan Exel of Brussels passed away suddenly on Friday, Decem ber 21, 1990. She was 66 years old. Mrs. Exel will be dearly missed by her children and their families: John and Nancy Exel of Brussels: Chris and Janine Exel of St. Marys; Fred Exel of Calgary; Elizabeth and Brian Gascho of Milverton; and Peter Exel of Brussels. She was the beloved grandmother of Andrew, Sarah and Carolyn Exel of Brus sels; Matthew Exel of St. Marys and Nathan and Cory Gascho of Milverton. Three sisters also sur vive her. Mrs. Exel was predeceas ed by her husband. Hank. Visitation was at Betts Funeral Home in Brussels from 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday. The funeral service was held at Melville Presbyterian Church the following day at 2 p.m. Rev. Carolyn McAvoy officiated. Spring interment will take place at Brussels Cemetery. As expres sions of sympathy donations may be made to the Melville Presbyter ian Church Memorial Fund. J. NELSON MOULDEN A memorial service was held at Knox United Church in Auburn on Saturday, December 29 at 2 p.m. for J. Nelson Moulden, who passed away at Clinton Public Hospital on December 20, 1990. He was 77. Born on May 2, 1913, Mr. Moulden was the son of the late John Wesley Moulden and Mar garet Edna Symington. He operat ed a shoe repair business in his Auburn home for 38 years. Mr. Moulden also raised a particular breed of canaries for shipment to Eastern Canada. He was a member of Knox United Church. A Carlow Masonic Lodge service was held prior to the Memorial service. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home - Tasker Chapel in Blyth. Rev. Paul Ross was the officiating clergy. Interment will take place at Ball's Cemetery in Hullett Town ship. DOROTHY STREET Dorothy Street died at the Ford- wich Nursing Home on December 18, 1990. She was in her 78th year. Mrs. Street was the beloved wife of Donald Street of Bluevale. She will be mourned by her children: Linda McCannell and her husband Stuart of Guelph; Julie Mitchell and her husband Gordon of Brus sels and Stephen of Vancouver, B.C. Mrs. Street is survived by three grandchildren: Craig and Shannon McCannell and Doug Mitchell. She was a veteran of World War II, a school teacher and a member of Bluevale Institute and United Church Women. A memorial service was conduct ed on December 30, 1990 at Bluevale United Church following cremation. Sadly missed but always remem bered, a loving heart so gentle and tender. WILLIAM F. BUCHANAN William F. Buchanan of Queens Villa of Blyth died at Wingham and District Hospital on December 28, 1990. He was 64 years old. Mr. Buchanan was born in East Wawanosh township on June 28, 1926. He was employed as foreman with Blyth P.U.C. until his retire ment, and was a member of Blyth Masonic Lodge. Mr. Buchanan was predeceased by his parents John S. Buchanan and the former Mary E. Cook. He is survived by his step-children and their families: George Cook of Clinton; Brenda and Bill Mc Dougall of Blyth; Connie and Kevin Tasker of Goderich; Dianne and Paul Josling of Blyth; Bill Cook of Clinton; Stephen and Debbie Cook of Blyth; Mary Fitzgerald of Clin ton; Sam and Vickie Cook of Clinton; Susan Dale of Blyth and Peter Cook of Clinton. He will be remembered by his brothers and sisters: Roy Buchanan of Blyth; Jim and Delores Buchanan of Windsor; John and Anne Buchanan of London and Lorna and Doug Whitmore of Blyth. Eleven grand children also survive him. A Masonic Lodge service was held on Saturday, December 29 at Beattie-Faloncer Funeral Home - Tasker Chapel in Blyth. Rev. Lorenzo Ramirez of Blyth United Church conducted the funeral ser vice the following afternoon at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. ROBERT MURRAY ROSS Robert Murray Ross, RR 5, Seaforth, died in Seaforth Com munity Hospital on Friday, Dec. 21, 1990 after a three-month strug gle with cancer. Murray was born in Kincardine in 1927, the son of the late Gordon Ross and Ione Taylor. He retired two years ago after 40 vears with CN and VIA as a locomotive engineman. Murray is survived by his wife Jean (Matheson); daugh ter, Heather (Mrs. Bruce Kirby), Sarnia; Sandra (Mrs. Tom Whiting) Ipperwash Beach; granchildren Greg and Jody Kirby and great grandchild Jamie Kirby, all of Sarnia; sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bry an and Mrs. Marion Wardrop of London and an uncle, Norman Ross, Kincardine. He was prede ceased by brothers David and Harold. Murray was of Presbyterian faith, a member of Brittania Lodge AF & AM No. 170, Seaforth; charter member of Sarnia Lodge of Perfection; London Rose Croix; London Consistory Club; Moore Consistory Hamilton; Mocha Tem ple; Bluewater Shrine Club and Royal Canadian Legion #156, Sea forth. Funeral service was held from Whitney-Ribey funeral home on Sunday, Dec. 23 with Rev. James Sloan of First Presbyterian Church conducting the service. Don Mac Donald, Walton sang “The Holy City" accompanied by Carol Car ter, who also played some favourite tunes and Christmas carols. A long time friend Bill McCaw, Sarnia gave the eulogy.
