Ripley minor hockey team on winning streak
The Ripley Atom "A"
squad hosted the Mild-
may team, and defeated
soundly, 5-1, Clint Twolan
scored twice and made 2
assists, Gerry Meurs
scored twice, and
Stephen Keelan got the
other marker, .and 1
assist. Todd Farrell
made the other assist.
Kincardine opened the
scoring in Atom • "B"
play, but Ripley scored
two goals in •the first
period to go ahead. The
first was scored by Larry
Reid from Dave Hodgins
and Dwain Lowry, and
the second by Vincent
Wright, unassisted.
Kincardine tied it up in
the second period, but
Scott Silverstone beat the
goalie unassisted .to put
Ripley in the lead again.
For insurance, Rave
Hodgins and Scott
Silverstone combined for
the only goal of the third
period. Final score, 4-2.
The Pee Wee "A"s also
defeated Mildmay. 5-2.
Mitch Twolan scored the
hat trick, and Eddie
Moore made the other 2
tallies, Assists went to

defeat the local boys in
the last two minutes of
Friday night's game with
a 5-4 score.
