Volunteers required BY DOROTHY SIMPS,ON CHILDRENS.AID SOCIETY The 'childrens aid is look- ing 'for people with spare time to help drive children to appointments or visits at home. They are paid for mileage. It benefits the child for they can have more things done rather than waiting for a worker tohave time. Some volunteers work with some of the families helping the mother care .for the children and 'the house, They spend time at the home showing basic care and mak- ing sure it gets done. Volunteer work is not always constant it is just a few hours occasionally and it is one way for .the coMmunity to become involved in:. the protection of children: Building applications were approved for Edwin Middle- brook, lot 1, concession 2'f6r an implement shed; G & E Sales and Service for a lean-to storage and Marjorie MacLeod, lot 46, concession 1, for a garage.
