Since then he has served in both World Wars, was a foreman in the Ford Dearborn factory in Detroit, worked in •the Amberley area, owned a •.farm in Ashfield and then • a house in Ripley, worked with OntarioHydro in, Northern Ontario before corning to help at the Thompson Nursing Home in Ripley. Russell Collins passed away in Kincardine and District Hospital last Wednesday, September 19, 1979 -in -his 69th year. Son of the late Charles Collins and Joanne McDonald, he was born on April 9, 1911. A former member of the Huron Townshig Council, Russ lived on the farm on the Huron Kincardine boundary in the first block in the north east corner of *Huron town- ship. The funeral • service was conducted by Rev. Robert S. Clyde of Bervie on Friday afternoon at the MacKenzie McCreath Funeral Home, in Ripley followed by interment in Ripley Cemetery, Sympathy is extended to his family namely his wife the former Dorothy Robertson, his three sons . Roy of the 12th con- cession east in Huron', Arthur of the Kincardine Huron boundary, Carl of Calgary. and his daughter Eileen of Crossfields, Alberta, and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Walter of the 12th. con- cession east, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Colwell of Toronto, and Margaret, Mrs. Harry Graham of Kincardine.
