This year the Lucknow Agriculture Society is pleased toannounce that former area, resident, Jim Reed, will officially open the 1979edition of the Luoknow Fall Fair. -*- Reed is "known nationally as the .co -host • of CTV's W-5 in- vest ig at i v e news program along with Henry Champ and Helen Hutchinson. • Jim was born in Dungannon, the son of Mr.. and Mrs. Allen Reed and attended high school in Lucknow. After high school he ' attended the University of Western. Ontario in London and then went to 'Toronto where he began yworking on stage and in television. Born in Oakville she represented Thunder Bay hi the pageant to attain the title of MIS' Dominion of Canada. A 23 -year-old utilireraity graduate she hu a bachelor of 'Silence and a bachelor of education. She eioys 'ports, live theatre and .danting. Mrs. Reed lives in Ripley at the senior citizens centre . and ' a sister, Mrs. Der,Stailley, also lives in the 'Ripley area. His other sister, Eleanor Townsend, is well known as the' North American Fiddle 'Champion. Jim - Reed Will be a guest at the Mir Friday evening and will oficially open the grounds on Saturday afternoon.
