St. Helens woman celebrates birthday at Bennii]ler Inn

Isabel Miller celebrated
her birthday at Benmiller Inn
on Friday. She was accom-
panied by Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Maclntyre of Rich-
mond Hill and Helen Todd.
Also visiting with Isabel were'
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller
of London.
BRIDAL SHOWER
On. Wednesday evening
several ladies gathered to
honour Dayle MacDonaldon
her forthcoming marriage to
Jeff Taylor. The introductory
music\ was played by Norma
Raynard:

Dorscht presented a humor-
ous pantonine of a wedding.
Margaret Cameron read
some poetry by Robert Ser-
vice and Elaine Errington
and Norma Raynard led a
sing song. While lunch was
prepared Marion Raynard
conducted a . contest.
Dayle was then assisted in
opening her gifts by Vera
Miller of Kitchener and Mar-
lene MacDonald of .Auburn.
Dayle then thanked everyone
and invited them to attend an
open house which was held
on Saturday afternoon and
evening.

ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs, Gordon Mc-
Pherson celebrated. their
50th wedding anniversary on
Friday. Approximately thirty
family members and special
friends attended a dinner at
the St. Helens Hall. Follow-
ing the dinner open house
was held for their friends and
neighbours.
Jenny and Gordon receiv-
ed many lovely gifts of china,
a plant, clock and money.
They were also presented
with a plaque from the
Provincial Government,
25TH ANNIVERSARY
Also celebrating their 25th
wedding anniversary this
weekend =were Mr. and Mrs.
Bill MacPherson. The Elliott
family treated Bill and Isabel
to a dinner at the Maitland
Restaurant in Wingham and
then the MacPherson family
all joined for a family picnic
at the MacPherson home.
Later in the evening their
friends and neighbours sur-
prised them also. Bill and
Isabel received many lovely
gifts including a watch,
mohair blanket, kitchen nick-
nacks, coffee urn and lawn
chair.
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Durnin
entertained their friends,
neighbours and relatives at a
picnic held at their home on
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Todd
joined on Sunday for a picnic
in Kincardine with Mr. and
Mrs. V. DuCharme of Wing -
