man, recently of Listowel,
now of Palmerston, and
another couple. were recent
tourists in Pictou, Nova
Scotia. In Pictou many tour-
ists could not find . sleeping
accomodation and so slept in
their cars in parking lots.
Rev. Lloyd Murdock, seeing
the need offered rooms in his
manse home to tourists.
Fortunately for Mr. and
Mrs. Tazzman and friends
they accepted Rev. •Mur -
dock's invitation and spent
several nights at the Mur-
dock home. When Lloyd
learned they lived so near,to

patient at Wingham Hospit-
al. Her many friends here in
Whitechurch' wish her a
speedy recovery.
On Saturday Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley Tiffin were invited to
Mr. and Mrs. Angus Falcon-
er's to celebrate his birthday.
Present for the occasion were
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Falconer,
Tony, Timmy and Amy and
Mrs. Cassie Mowbray. Wes-
ley received a few gifts to
celebrate the occasion.
Miss Winnifed Farrier
spent a few days with Mrs.
Agnes. Farrier and on the,
weekend returned with Win-
nifred to Toronto.
Mrs. John A, Currie's
relations held a family picnic
in Wingham. Riverside Park
on Sunday. There were 86
there from the Edgar family,

A going away party was
held on Saturday evening in
Whitechurch Community
Memorial Hall for Bill and
Evelyn Caslick, second con-
cession Culross, who have
sold their farm and are
moving to 'Wingham. The
music was supplied by Joe
Tiffin's orchestra. A large
crowd gathered. At lunch
time, the neighbours who
sponsored the party had Mr.
and Mrs. Caslick called to
the platform, where Lottie
Edwards;"and others spoke
words of appreciation of their
life in the community, and
Gary Falconer, on behalf of
those gathered, presented
them with a gift of money.
Nelson Bell, Brian and
Richard of Timmins arrived
on Monday to visit his par-
ents, Rev. and Mrs. John
Bell.

Currie, on August 21. Mrs.

Karen thanked the ladies
who held. the shower and
those who attended. She
invited the ladies to come to
