RAYMOND KEITH
HAMILTON
Raymond Keith. Hamilton
of R, 5 Lucknow, died such
denly at his home on Thurs-
day, August 9, 1979, in his
60th year.
A farmer for 32 years, he
was born in Huron Township
on May 27, 1920. He was the
son of the late William Ham-
ilton of Huron Township and
the former Mae Million of
Colborne Township.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Blanche Stacey of
Port Stanley, whom he mar-
ried in London, on June 28,
1947. He is also survived by a
son, Paul, of . Hanover, two
daughters, Joanne, Mrs. Rod
McDonagh, Lucknow and
Wendy at (home, and two
grandchildr n.
He. wasp deceased by his
parents an ; a brother, Alvin.
The funeral, was held on
Saturday, August 11, 1979 at
2.30 p.m. from the "MacKen-
zie and McCreath Funeral
Home, Lucknow,. where Rev.
Jim Bushell of Ripley United
Church, conducted the ser-
vice.
Pallbearers were Andy
Hamilton, Leonard McInnes,
Jack McGuire, Jim Huston,.
John. Creech and Duffy Mc-
Quillin.
Burial followed in Green-
hill Cemetery, Lucknow.
OSCAR HODGINS
Oscar Gordon Coursey
Hodgins of Lucknow .died in
Wingham and District Hos-
pital . on Sunday, August 12,
1979, at the age of 74.
A retired labourer, he
lived on the tenth concession
of Kinlossbefore moving to.
Lucknow in 1943.
He was born., in Kinloss on
February.13, 1905 to the late
Fred Hodgins of Kinloss and
the late Rebecca Cerson,
formerly of Kincardine.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Irene I. Marsh of
Wroxeter, whom he married
in Bervie in 1932. He is also
survived by five sons, Clay-
ton of Clinton; Melvin, Alvin,
Laverne and Chester', all of
London and Lynn of Luck -
now.
He is also survived byhis
sister, Mrs. Alice Thom -son
of North Bay:,
He was predeceased by a
son and daughter in infancy
and a son, Mervyn, in 1973.
The funeral was held from
the MacKenzie and McCre-
ath Funeral Home in Luck -
now on Tuesday,. August 14,
1979 at 2 p.m, with Rev.
George Garratt of Lucknow
Anglican Church, officiating.
Pallbearers were William
Clements, Nick Hodgins,
Kim. Hodgins, Peter Postma,
Jim Hodgins and Harry Hod-
gins.
Burial followed in Green-
hill Cemetery.
LILA [ROBB' RITCHIE
Passed away suddenly at
her home in Lucknow on
Monday,. August 13, 1979
Lila Jane Robb, wife of the
late Gordon Ritchie, in her
81st year,
She was born in Huron.
Township near Lochalsh on
November 12, 1898,. daugh-
ter of the late John Robb and
Elizabeth Fowler.
In April 1919, she married
Gordon Charles Ritchie of
Ashfield Township and they
farmed on the 12th conces-
sion of Ashfield until Octob-
er, 1958,
ctob-er,.1958, when they retired to
Lucknow.
She was a former member
of Zion United Church, and
Zion U.C,W., and at the time
of her death was a valued
member of Lucknow United
Church and an active mem-
berof the. U.C.W. and the
Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by five
sons, Leonard of Lucknow;
Harold of St. Thomas; Lorne
of Huron Township( Clarence
of Kinloss Township; Mervin
of Blyth; 18 grandchildren
and 15 great grandchildren..
She was predeceased by
her husband, Gordon in
1961, one son Marvin. in
1,936,and one grandson, Lyle
Ritchie of St. Thomas in
1976; also three brothers and
five sisters.
The late Mrs. Ritchie rest-
ed at the MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Home,
Lucknow, where the funeral
service was conducted by her
pastor, Reverend Doug
Kaufman on Wednesday,
August 15th:
Pallbearers ..were. grand-
sons, Murrey, Ronald, Don-
ald and Gary Ritchie, Jack
and Doug. Aitchison.
Flowerbearers were also
grandsons, Terry and Kevin
Ritchie,i, Murray Irvin, Jim
Pentland; George Hodgson,:
Nick. Barclay and - Doug
Young. -
Burial followed in Green-
hill Cemetery.
RODERICK DONALD ROSS
Roderick Donald Ross died
suddenly at Wingham and
District Hospital on Friday,
August 10, 1979 in his 68th'
year.
Born in Ashfield Township.
on May 7, 1912 he was the
son of the late Roderick Ross
and the late Margaret Mac-
Kenzie of Lochalsh.
He is survived by two
brothers, John of Detroit and
Bill of Lucknow and three
sisters, Marian West of Don
Mills, Jessie MacKenzie of
Florida and Irene Nelson of
Ashfield.
He waspredeceased by a
sister, Christine Anne Phil-
lipson and three brothers,
Kenneth, Kenzie and Gord-
on, as well as his parents.
The funeral was conducted
from the MacKenzie and Mc-
Creath Funeral Home in
Lucknow on Sunday, August
12, 1979 at 2 p.m. by Rev.
Hugh Nugent of Ashfield
Presbyterian Church.
Flower bearers were Larry
Hackett, Leonard Ritchie, Ed.
Blackwell and Cliff Beirnes,
all of Lucknow.
Six nephews were pall-
bearers, Donald Ross, Kit-
chener; Doug Ross, Luck -
now; Lorne West, Ottawa;
Allan Hackett, Bill Nelson
and Arthur Helm, all of
Lucknow. •
Burial followed in Lochalsh
Cemetery.
