Mrs, Jessie Johnston of
Luckfiow and her niece, Mrs.
Helen )MacLennan Of Ash-
fieldreturned recently from
an enjoyablethree. week
vacation in Western Canada.
They flew to Saskatoon and
visited with Mrs. Annie
Fairish, the .former Annie
Johnston -of Ashfield,and her
two daughters, Lillian and
Margaret.
,From there they travelled
to Vancouver by bus making
several stops along the way.
Three days were spent in
Swift Current with Rev. and
Mrs. Glenn Noble and Les-
ley.. He was the former
minister of Lucknow• Presby-
terian Church.
A short stopover was
made in Calgary when Mrs.
MacLennan spoke by tele-
phone to Rena MacGregor,
formerly of Kintail, who is
presently visiting her sister
there:

In Banff they enjoyed a
visit with Dr. John Bradley.
who took them to see the
hospital there and also a tour
of Banff., While there, a tour
took them, to see the splend-
our of Lake Louise.
They made an; aver -night
stop in Kamloops where the
temperature: was 42 degrees
C. In Vancouver they visited
with Mrs. Jean McKeith and
her family. While there she
celebrated her 90th birthday
with a get-to-gether and lun-
cheon in the church parlour
for friends and relatives.
From Vancouver they went
to Victoria and then . to
Shawnigan Lake on the Is-
land where they visited with
Mrs. Lesley Grant and son,
Ian. Mrs. Grant's father was
the. late. Murdock MacDonald
of Kintail. -
Returning to Vancouver
for a few days, they then
returned by air to Toronto.

day evening. On Sunday
evening, friends dropped in.

them out for dinner on Sun-
day to celebrate.
