Langside farmers harvesting grain

With fine weather at the
end of last week, many farm-
ers are starting to harvest
grain, If the weather stays
fine this week the harvest
will be well under way.
Mr. and Mrs. Coughlin
and girls visited last Monday
evening with Mr. and Mrs.
Clifford Young.
Ken Young and Russell
'Springer left on Wednesday
and are motoring up north to
Sault Ste. Marie and maybe
as far as Elliot Lake.
Les Springer is spending
some time in Chicago visiting
with friends.
Karey Coughlin celebrated
her ninth birthday last
Thursday and had some
friends over for the after-
noon.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Young, Kevin, Brian and
Jessica of Thornhill spent the
weekend with his parents,
Mr and Mrs. Clifford Young
and. William. Other visitors
on Saturday were George
Young, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Young, Mr. and Mrs,• Jim
Young, Marty, Jamie, Karen
and Liane.
Joanne de. Boer is spend-
ing a few holidays with' her
friend, Winnie Visser. of
Wingham.
Mr. William Pinnell of Col-
borne, who spent the Tees
water reunion weekend with
his cousin, Clifford " Young,
and family, left last Tuesday,,
to visit Gordon Wall in
Wingham and later took the
bus to London before return-
ing to Colborne.
The Top Brothers visited
their father in Listowel Hos-
pital on Tuesday, August 7,
on the occasion of his. 84th'
birthday. Mr. Top spent two
weeks in. Listowel Hospital
and has now returned to the
nursing home in Listowel.

Mr: and Mrs. Robert Breg-
man celebrated their 25th
wedding anniversary on Sat-
urday, July 28. A family
dinner was held for them at
the Vendome Hotel with 52
relatives present. Afterwards
a dance was held in the
Teeswater Culross Commun-
ity Centre. Music was sup-
plied by the Sound System
70. A large crowd of relatives
and friends attended. They
received many presents and
good wishes and had a. lovely
time. Relatives were present
from Holland, Winnipeg,
Goderich, Exeter, Orillia,
Stayner, Collingwood and
other points. a,
Liane Young and her cou-
sin, Tonya Martin of London
spent a few days last week
with their grandparents, Mi.
and Mrs: Don, Martin of
Wingham.
Kathy England of near
Whitechurch spent a few
days with Mr. and Mrs.
Clifford Young. Karen and
Liane Young each spent a
night at the same home.
Mr. and Mrs. Clem Stef-
fler and son, Mark of Alberta
visited with friends around
these parts last Saturday.
Mrs. Steffler is the former
Phyllis Smith and spent her
girlhood here on her parents'
farm across the road from
Bob Orr. She also attended
Langside School.
Weekend guests with Mr.
and Mrs. Clifford Young
were Russell Young and
Deborah Ferguson of Tor-
onto and Bill Pinnell of Col-
borne.
Mrs. Don Wall, Krista and.
Karah of Culross spent an
evening last week with her
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Young and. family.
All roads led to the Tees -
water Reunion on the holiday
weekend and with fine
weather and Targe crowds at
concerts and dances and
around the town we expect it
was very successful,
Kelly Coughlin celebrated
her birthday last Tuesday
with a sleepover party at
which she had nine girl
friends as guests.
George Lowes of Brantford
spent a few days last week
with his cousin, . Russell
Springer.
