Kinlough community says farewell

Friends and neighbours
from here gathered at the
Kinloss Community Centre
on Friday evening for a
farewell party for Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Shaw and. Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Shaw, Wendy and
Timothy who are leaving to
make their ' home in the
Stayner .area.
Hugh Lane in his capable
manner was chairman and
expressed regret in losing
these two families from our
community.
Mrs. Jim McEwan at the
piano led a sing song of
sacred favourites, Miss May
Boyle, Mrs. Frank Maulden
and Mrs. Tom McDonald
each gave suitable readings.
Karen MacDonald and Jody
Edwards sang two sacred
choruses and Karen also
played a piano number.
Walter Breckles then
showed slides of interest of
Florida, Niagara Falls, Rock-
wood, Washington, Midland
and some of local places. '. •
Mrs. Tom McDonald read
an address of regret in
having the Shaw families
leave our community and
wished them every blessing
in the days ahead. The pres-
entation of lovely gifts was
made by . Don Bushell and
Bill Burt. Both Bill and Roy
replied fittingly for the Shaw
families.
"Blest be the tie that
binds" and the Grace were
sung. Refreshments and a
social chat enjoyed.

here went for a social after-

sion of their 45th wedding
anniversary. All present took

friendly Chit -Chat and old
familiar songs were sung.

BREGMAN REUNION
The Bregman family held
their reunion on Sunday at
Goderich beach with 67
members present. Among
those present were an aunt
from Holland and a cousin
and their family from, south-
ern Illinois. The weather was
lovely and all enjoyed the day
together. Joanne Bregman
who, is in • Quebec as an
exchange student was absent
as she does not return home
until Wednesday.
