Jim Bradley welcomed all present and we repeated the Lord's Prayer in unison, Three lucky spot prizes were won by. Cliff Hackett, Heather Lindsay and "Joan„ Hackett. The minutes were read and a vote of thankswas ex- tended to Jim Drennan for bringing and looking after the barbecue. The 1980 picnic will be held at the same place on the second Sunday in July with a barbecue. The same executive will carry on for another year. President, Jim Bradley; vice. president, Douglas. Hackett; secretary -treasurer, Bell Hackett; food committee, Bill and Beryl Hunter, Midford and Irlma Wall; sports, Vern- on and Anna Mae Hunter. Elise Lindsay entertained with highland dancing and Heathet ,Lindsay played the violin which was enjoyed very much. Bill Hayson guessed "the • peanuts in a jar" right on, with 216. A. and Evelyn Hackett - 5; Jim and Evelyn Bradley 5, Chester 30 attend Helm picnic Thirty friends of the Helm descendants met on Sunday, July 1st at Ashfield Park for the 41 ' year _with a basket dinner. Jim Hunter asked 'the blessing and everyone enjoy- ed the meal. The president Tom Helm decided the past year was a good year, as the friends recalled nodeaths since the last Helm picnic. - ;::Mrs. Allan Ritchie read the minutes 'and treasurer's report. Johnstone Irwin died as a result of an accident at his home in Huron Town= pship on Friday, July 6, 1979, in his 51st year. He is survived by hiswife, the former Jean Treleaven, and four sons, Richard at home, Glenn,. Kitchener; James and. Kevin, both at homes He is -also survived b'y his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence. DEXTER Walter Dexter of Lucknow died in Wingham and Dist- rict Hospital on Monday, July 2, 1979 in his 75th year. He is survived by his wife,. Anna Kennedy and two sisters, Elsie, Mrs. William John Ensign of Goderich and Emily, Mrs. Howard Robin- son of Strathroy as well as several nieces and nephews.
