Three modified tractors were loaded on this truck for the trip to the Metcalfe Tractor Pail
on Friday morning. The Gold Digger riding front is owned by mad Frank and Mary
Verheyen, Kenwood. The Noisy Lady, centre, is owned by Glen Porter and Art Hebn,
Lucknow and the one without a name on the rear Is a new 7,000 pound modified. owned by
Art Helm. The Noisy Lady took two seconds at.a pull in St. Thomas a week ago but broke
down at the Metcalfe pull. The new Lucknow tractor with its Packard engine placed
second in the 9,000 modified class at the Metcalfe Pull. All three tractors will be
competinwin the Lucknow Tractor Pall the weekend of July 21 - 22. [Sentinel Staff Photo]

Because of the cold
weather the attendance
was down this year.
During the afternoon Eva
Begg and Pearl Williams
had some really good
games for both young and
old. These games proved
popular with all. After
singing "Grace", we had
a delicious smorgasbord
style picnic supper.
Frank Williams was
the chairman for -the
business. A Minute of
silence was observed• for
the late Jim Keyes who
had passed away in April.
