1979 Kathy Joynt, daughter
of Mr. and Mm. George
Joynt, graduated with a
Bachelor of Education from
the Ontario Teacher Educa-
tion College at Toronto. She
also received certiciation in
Elementary Vocal Music Part
L
The grandation took place
at the college. The Honour-
able Bette Stephenson M.D.,
Minister of Education, con-
ferred degrees on tbe Rrad-
aats.

which Kathy is . a member,
performed with the„Canadlan

Gilmore Wiis baton championshi
Tommy .Gilmore won the
Ontario Junior (11-14 yrs.)
Boys Championship in baton
twirling on Sunday, May
20th. He also took first place
in the open baton twirling
contest.
This is the third straight
year Tom has won these
events. He has also won the
Canadian Championship
three titnes in a row and
• hopes to compete again this
year as this event is being
held in Thornhill,- Ontario
this year on June 22, 23,
24th.

Tom competed against
. several boys at the Ontario
Chfmpionships', whichwere
held at Centennial Park
Arena in Etobicoke. The boys
who took second place had
just won the New Brunswick
Boys Championship and was
allowed to compete in Ont-
ario as, he is moving to
'Scarborough. Third place
went to a boy from Timmins,
Ontario.
Recovering from fall
Mrs. Spence Irwin is re-
covering from a bad fall in
her home Sunday morning.'
Allan Dunsmuir, son of
Mrs. Eunice Dunsmuir,
Lucknow, graduated from
Western University, London
in electrical engineering. He
is now employed at IBM,
Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne
Woods and Shelly from Pem=
brook spent the holiday
weekend visiting her mother,
Mrs. Robert Moffat, in Luck-
now, and his mother, Mrs.
Walter Woods, Wingham.
Alsoother members of the
family at the same home.
Mrs. Symond 'de Boer,
Lucknow has her sister, Mrs.
P. Severs from Eindhoven,
Holland visiting with her for
3 weeks.
Mrs. Frank Brown of Tees -
water, who was at one time
the correspondent for Cul-
ross Corners for the Lucknow
Sentinel, has been bereaved
twice in less than .three
weeks. Her'sister', Mrs. Rich-
ard Jackson, the former Mav
Shelton. passed away in Geri
Care Nursing Home, April
26.
Her sister, Miss Pearl
Shelton;. Kincardine, passed
away in Kincardine Hospital
on May 16th.
Surviving are their broth-
er, Albert Shelton, of Park-
hill, and Mrs. Frank Brown
of Teeswater. The Sheltons
lived on the S.outh•Line north
of Kinlough.
