A successful and" en- joyable card party was held at the centre last Thursday evening. There were five tables of euchre withmany high scores. Mrs. Francis Boyle hosted a display and sale of, Christian Books last Wednesday. A large crowd from the surrounding area at- terided. Demonstrator was Sue Slack of Underwood. Several couples. from the Grove attended the dance held in the Ripley District • School for the Senior Citizens club. A good crowd enjoyed the music of the Harbour Lites of Ripley. Mrs. Cecil Sutton held a meeting Thursday evening to plan programmes for the Women's Institute. Angela . Collins, daughter of ° Roy and Maureen Collins, un- derwent .surgery this week. Friends wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Farrell visited on Sunday in Harriston with Mrs. Sara Gordon and Miss Marjorie McD'bi'igald. The community Inter Denominational Bible Study group met 'at the home of Margaret 'van Rooyen. The funeral is to be held in Kincardine this week. Clarence Henry Wylds. passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, April 9, 1979. He was born in ` Huron Township, ,Nov. 29, 106, son of the lat John Wylds and Mary Dahmer. CIarence live on the family farm on the sixth concession until June 9, 1945, when he married Mildred MacLeod and they took up residence on concession ' 4. In . failing health they, sold the farm in 1970 and moved . to Ripley. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Barrie of Ripley and glen of Hron township, two gran children. Kerri Lynn and Jason, one sister Pearl Wylds of Huron township. The funeral service at the MacKenzie McCreath Funeral Horne Thursday April 12 with Rev. Jim Bushell officiating. Pallbearers were Maido ."Wyldi,-Altan Irwin, Dave Stewart, Keith Carter, Dennis MacLeod,and George MacLean. Final resting place Ripley Cemetery. Ripley folks were sorry to learn that Mrs. Harry Ramsay (the former Hazel Elder) passed away last Saturday in her 77th year. Sympathy is extended to her husband Harry who survives. The funeral service was held on Monday afternoon at the MacKenzie McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley with interment to be in the Ripley_ Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ramsay lived on the 4th con- cession east in Huron township, then they retired. to Ripley and at times resided in Kin cardine. Hills ,Florida and visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Aurel Arm- strong. and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Boyle and families. Visiting with the Boyles on the weekend were Roy Milnikov of Toronto- and Bonnie, Boyle of London. Heather is home from the University of Waterloo for the summer. Wilma Sutton, Maxine King and Robbie Sutton spent last Friday in London. Robbie will finish his exams at Western University this week.
