A tree was blown down across a tool shed on the lawn of Mr. and Mrs. Clare Johnstone's property in Lucknow last Wednesday night. She was born . in Huron 'Township on August 9, 1906, daughter of the ,late William Hooey, and Susan Ruther- ford. in 1945 she married Wal- ter Pollock and lived on the family .farm on the .twelfth concession of Huron Town- ship until 1977 when they retired to Lucknow. She is survived by . her husband Walter . .Pollock, three sisters, Mrs. Verna Finlayson,. Ripley; (Evelyn). Mrs. Murdoch; McDonald, Lucknow; '(Elva) Mrs. Arthur Smeltzer of Huron two brothers, .Mervyn of Ripley and Elmer of Luck - now. She was predeceased by two brothers, 'Stuart and Lorne. -- The funeral service was held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral. Home, Ripley on Sunday, April 8, 1979 at two o'clock with Rev. Bob Putman and Rev. Doug Kaufman officiating. Pallbearers' were three ne- phews, Carl Hooey, Grant McDonald and Elmer Smelt- zer and three of Walter's cousins, James, Bert and William Elliott.
