Sigris of spring were ev-
erywhere last week. The sap
was running and syrup mak-
ers kept busy, Robins were
seen and we also heard of a
red wing blackbird , and a
kildeer being seen. The first
day of spring March 21 was a
real springlike day but winter
may not be finished yet as
to -day we have a light cover-
ing of snow. Maybe the
March lion will be out again.
Some from this district
attended the hockey game
between Maidstone and
Teeswater Juveniles on Fri-
day evening. They enjoyed
the game which was well
played although Teeswater
lost with the score 4 to 3.
Jim Young is home again
after spending a few days in
Wingham hospital after suf-
fering a fall in his barn on
Friday.
Scholars will be back in
school this week after enjoy-
ing a week's holidays.
