Ripley Minor hockey pies up

The Ripley hockey
scene really picked up
momentum this week
with just about all the
teams in action. In Tyke
play, Ripley lost to a
Kincardine squad 2-0,
with Dean Morrow
scoring both goals for
Kincardine. The boys
fared better against a
different Kincardine
Tyke team Friday night,
defeating them 3-1.
Robbie Thompson scored.
the first goal from Rob
Wood,. and Scott van den
Hogen and John Kelly
scored unassisted goals,
Steve McLeod got the
-lone Kincardine marker.
The first game in
tournament play at Blyth
was a crusher for Clif-
ford, as Ripley„ outclassed
them 19-0, Billy Patterson
led the attack with 6 goals
and 3 assists, with. the

of a best of 5 series. With
exams on : and a lack of
practice ' they were hard
pressed to finish off their
plays around the :net.
Out shooting Their oppon-
ents on a 2. - 1 ratio, they
were tied 1 - 1 after the first,
leading 4.2 after the second,
then put the game away in.
the third to win 7 - 2.
Lucknow now leads , the
series 2 games to none and
could finish the series on
Friday night to advance to
the Midget DD All Ontario
Finals. I
