Moffat of Toronto was visit;

fat -the former Edith Taylor,
had the misfortune to fall oti
ice breaking her hip. She was
taken to St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London. The commun-
• ity wishes her a very speedy
recovery.

ing and called the roll.
Kendra Purdon read the
minutes.
Mrs. Elliott discussed pur-
ses according to selection
and care and what to look for
when buying a purse. She
also gaye points on the selec-
tion and care of shoes. Lorie
Purdon told how to care for
leather shoes.•
Mrs. Archie Purdon dem-
onstrated how to make differ-
ent kinds of seams on the
sewing machine.
Mrs. Elliott demonstrted
how to press An interfacing
on material.
For the next meeting all
are to bring heavy jewellery
wrapped in brown paper and
to have an idea for the front
cover of their books.

ruary 21 at the home of Mrs.
Victor Emerson. The leader

the meeting with a poem.
The scripture was read by

reading. Mrs. Alan Falconer
read from the Study Book, a

LADIES AID MEETING
The Ladies Aid meeting
was held following the
W.M.S. meeting. The collec-
tion was received by Anna
Osborne.
Itwas decided to again
have a booth at the Craft Fair
at Lucknow and Mrs.. Alan
Falconer was appointed to
look after getting the booth.
Those who brought crafts
displayed them. All are to be
preparing crafts for the festi-
val.
The meeting closed with
the mizpah benediction.

husband in a recent auto
• accident.
• The. St. Helens • Snowmo-
bile Club spent the weekend
trail riding at Red Bay. In
spite ofthe mild weather Fri-.
• day night, an attempt. was
made to go trail riding but
* after a few machine heating
'up, the riders were forced to
turn back. The remainder of
the evening was spent play-
• ing cards, ping pong, shuffle
board and a sing song; The
rest of the weekend chilled
down and by Sunday riding
was getting pretty chilly. All
members enjoyed the, week-
end very much.
The eclipse of, the sun. on
Monday was visible in the St.
Helens area. Due to cloud
cover in the Kitchener area
many disappointed people
were unable to see this event
on TV as planned.

Shoot Party winners on
February 15th, 1979, were
Rob Siecker, high man; Steve
Errington, second high man;
Helen Martin, high lady and ,
John Andrew, second high
. lady. There were 6 tables of
players present and the
"most shoots prize" went to
Elmer Woods.

weekend snowmobiling near
Owen Sound. Mr. and Mrs.
MacDonald's children visited
with their grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Angus MacDonald,
