In 1'967 he' enrolled in the University of Waterloo and did, his _:under graduate • work in the department of statistics, While there he lectured at the University and did a lot of research including. six months in Australia in 1975, He has had .15 -of his research papers' published in international journals. He is also the co-author of a book. published by the world renowned Elsevier of Amsterdam. Her name is Sheila Clayton. She came from Komoka.. The girls' volleyball team didn't do very well when they played against W. E. Thomp- son on January 16. They, won one gameand lost two. The tournament was held in the gym on Friday, Janu- ary 26. Teams from W. E. Thompson, Agin Market, Huron Heights, Lucknow and Ripley competed. W. E. Thompson and Ripley played off for the final with Ripley winning two games to one. The Pee Wee "A"s lost a tough one to Mildmay,. The score was 5-3 for Ripley at the end ofthe second petiod, but .,the i., last half of the third was too long, as Mildmay won 8-7. Paul Keelan shot the hat trick, with Danny MacDonald, Paul Harris, Mitch Twolan and' Todd Walden scoring single -tallied. Shawn Morrison made three assists, and Matthew Dahmer; Eddie Moore, Robert Campbell and Danny Wood" each had assists to their credit. The Pee Wee "B"s had a busy week, getting in practice for the Pee Wee "B" tournament to be held here on Feb. 17. I guess. The first game of the tournament will start at 8 a.m. The boys were defeated by Kincardine 3-2 in the first game. Bob Black- well from Greg Dahmer scored the first goal of the game, but Kincardine replied with two. Brian Barnes and Luke Lemire combined for the next goal. Score for the second game was Kilties 3, Ripley 1 with Greg Dah- mer and Ross Farrell getting both the first goal in the game and the only Ripley marker at the. " same time. The last game was a tough one, with Mike Nicholson from John Forster getting our lone tally, Score • Kin- cardine 8 - Ripley 1. Lucknow defeated the Bantam team in a high 'scoring game 8-6. Harold Peet and Mervin Storey each scored twice with Ian Elliott and Kevin Boyle each getting single markers. Terry Irwin, Gary Rutledge and Jeff - Stanley made the assists.
