Every Thursday night the teachers get together for "Fit Five" between 330 and 4.00 o'clock so they can be physically fit, just like the students. She was gone for 10 days and came back on Wednesday. Linda Van Osch was stud- ent of the week in Grades 5 and, 6. Mr. Zyluk beat Mrs. Park and Mrs. Eedy in a basket- ball game 26 to 10. The staff completed their instructional supplies order. for September 1979: Miss Kennedy visited" the school on Friday to visit Mrs. Eedy and her class. Interviews for a Commun- ity School Co-ordinator were completed .on Saturday and a decision was made to whom the person is. Obituaries ANDREW FREDERICK RITCHIE. Andrew' Frederick Ritchie of Huntsville died of a heart seizure at his•home in Hunts- ville • on January 13, 1979 ina his 78th year. He was a former member of the Maple Grove Orange Lodge #1044, which he joined in 1919. He also belonged to the Oddfellow's Lodge and the Senior Citizen's . Club, both of Huntsville. He retired from Ontario Hydro , in 1967, after 22 years. He was, born in Ashfield Township, Huron County, "on August 24, 1901, a son of the ,alatee,,Iam.es E. Ritchie, of Mount Forest and the late Charlotte Ferguson of Ash- field. • He married Adeline" Smith orAshfield, who predeceas- ed him in 1928. They had two sons, Russell, of Kinloss Township, and Keith of Petrolia. He married Ethel' Earle: of Huntsville on July 19; 1968: He is survived ,b-jr whis , second wife, his sons, three -sisters, Jane, Mrs. Clifford Eastman, .of Burlington; Es- ther, Mrs. Sam Gibson, of r Goderich; Edna, Mrs. > Wil- liam Ross, of Lucknow and two brothers; Alfred and; Frank, both of Lucknow. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, . nine great grandchildren, a• stepson and two stepdaughters. He was predeceased by his first wife, four sisters, Ma- mie, Mrs. `Ernest Gardner; Ruby, Mrs. George Saund- ers; Margaret, Mrs. Jack Grant and Myrtle, Mrs, Rob- ert Helm and two brothers, Boden and Edgar. A funeral service was held in Huntsville on Monday, January 15, 1979 and a final service was held in Lucknow on January 17, 1979 it the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, , with Rev. Doug Kaufman of the Luck - now United Church officiat- ing. Spring burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. LLOYD MORRISON PHILLIPS loyd . Morrison Phillips, for erly of West Wawanosh, die in Wingham on Satur- day, January 13, 1979. He was 78. He farmed the home place on concession 10, of West Wawanosh Township, until his retirement in 1972. For the past four years he has resided in Wingham. Born .on March 21, 1900, he was • the son of the late Samuel Phillips and the late Eliza Ann Gaunt. He is survived 6y two sisters;- Ruth--Howlette—of– Calgary, Alberta, and Verna Robinson of British Colum- bia. He was predeceased by four brothers, James, John, Albert and George. The funeral was held from the MacKenzie and McCre- ath Funeral Home in Luck - now at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, .January 16, 1979. Rev. R. Armstrong, of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Wingham, conducted the service. Temporary entombment is South Kinloss Mausoleum with spring burial to follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Luck - now.
