Atoms play Teeswater

Atom , hockey this week
consisted of back to back
games with Teeswater. Both
were close games, if on the
chippy•side, with good action
at both ends. -
On Monday night, in Luck -
now, • the 'Teeswater 'boys
opened the scoring on their
first shift and increased their
lead' to 2 - 0, • early in the,
second „period. , k
Although, they. were play-
ing catch-up hockey, the
Lucknow team • kepteveryone
interested -with many good
scoring chances. Finally at
1.25. a the second, they put
one on the scoresheet when
Brad Priestap scored from.
Chris Irwin.
Jeff Gibson had a good
game at the point, and Brad
'Priestap got back into the
goal scoring. column but after
a hard third period of score-
less hockey, the boys had to
concede a 2 - '1 'victory to.
Teeswater.
On Tuesday night, in Tees -
water, the teams played to a
2 all draw.
. Lucknow started strong,
keeping the play in the
Teeswater end for the first
four minutes of the game but
were unable to score.
Teeswater Opened the
scoring but the lead stood
only about one minute, as
Chris Irwin scored, assisted
by Jeff Gibson.
In the second period,
Teeswater went one up but
the team battled back! Dan-
ny. Gilchrist scored' an upas.

had good scoring chances
