children for arranging such a •
• delightful event. The special
cake baked and brought by
• Roberta's husband, Ralph'
• Wescott, • deseryed special
• mention, Ralph had learned
• his trade as a, cook while tin
•- the ,Air Force. He used the
• same recipe used by Mrs.
• Massey in 1928. Marian was
also quite touched to receive
a special wedding cake from
Freda and Leonard Maclnnes
• - of Lucknow. Their grandpar-
ents -Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Machines and Mr. and Mrs.
Angus MacDougall had come ,
from Scotland to Canada on'
• &the same sailing vessel. as
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nich-
• olston.
Marian concluded her re.

and community singing, af-
ter which we had lunch as
Sandy's father had gene to

apparently had lots of cakes
baked. Then I passed some
Wedding cake, too, as Mama
had sent it in the top layer of
my trunk. After: tnore music,

had been a full, but very
happy day.: The. Lucknow

welcome."
Since Harold Burns, Bill
Porteous and Dr. Little, the
• violin soloist, are .still Hiring
and reading the: 'Sentinel, 1
thought they should read
what Marian wrote. • Harold
reports that •sister Dr. Anna,
knew of the plans andly whelpfuL
Everyone was surprised
that Marian's 1928 wedding
dress fitted perfectly without
alterations: "

I too, thanked our children
and relatives for 'making the
day one of the happiest of a
Meddle.' •
We are who we are- partly
as a' 'result •of our .parents,
family, teachers, ministers
and. friends...Till I becaine a
father, I did:not realize .that
your children played such an
important role in your educa-
tion. 1 mentioned each 'of the
three and. said that when\
they introducedA's. to their
future spouses we thought
each to havebeen lucky. In
