Mr. and Mrs. Dave Mac-
Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Pete
MacDonald of Lucknow and
Jack Aitchison attended the
Royal Winter Fair on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Conn,
George, Muriel and Alma and
Mr, and Mrs. Douglas Conley
of Wingham were dinner guests
Sunday evening with Mr, and
Mrs, Johnston Conn, to cele-
brate Johnston's birthday.
Mr, and Mrs. George Fisher
and family completed moving
on Thursday from their former
home on Highway 86 to their
home in Wingham.

Centennial W,I. meeting on
Friday afternoon were Mrs.
Garnet Farrier, Mrs. Bill Evans,
Mrs, Robert Ross, Mrs, George
Walker and Mrs. Ezra Schultz
who received a prize for her
authentic costume.
Mr, and Mrs. Fred Tiffin,
Mrs. Victor Emerson and Miss
Lila Emerson were at St. Jos-
eph's Hospital, London, on
Wednesday where they visited
with Victor Emerson, a patient
there.
Mrs. Hazel King of Detroit
was a Thursday visitor with Mr.
Russel Ritchie,

Emerson accompanied Mrs.
Alvin Mundell, Mrs. J.W. Eng,

Mr, Brian Rintoul is at the
Royal Winter Fair assisting in
the showing of Eddy's cattle,
from Dungannon.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rintoul,
Mrs. Jim Curran and Paul of
St. Helens spent Monday at the
Royal. Leroy was assisting Mr.
George Kennedy show his cattle
on Hereford Day,
Mrs, Vic Casemore of Brant-
ford was a Saturday evening
caller at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Orville Tiffin. On Friday
evening Mr, and Mrs. Wesley
Tiffin were visitors at the same
home.
Mr, and Mrs, Jack Coulter,
Debbie, Kevin and Blaine of
Dresden spent the week-end
with his parents, Mr, and Mrs,
Albert Coultes, and with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn
Pipe of Brussels. On Saturday
Jack and his father joined a
hunting party and were at To-
bermory where they were suc-
cessful in getting a deer.
Spending the week-end at
their homes here were Miss
Muriel Moore of Oakville,
George and Muriel Conn of Lotr
don.
On Sunday the messenger,
will meet at Calvin-Brick, and
at Chalmers Presbyterian
Church the C.O.C. will have
their meeting during church
service,

day visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Dan McInnes and family of

Word was received here at
the week-end that Mr. Orton
Grain, a former resident east
of the village, had the mis-
fortune to break his leg when
he slipped on ice as he was
getting off a truck in Toronto.
His wife is a patient in Listowel
Memorial Hospital.
Mr, Russel Ritchie left on
Tuesday to visit for a few days
with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fells
and family of Toronto and to
attend the Royal Winter Fair.

WHITECHURCH-- Langside
W.M,S, held its November
meeting on Thursday at the
home of Mrs. lildon Wash,
Mrs. Victor Emerson and Mrs,
Exra Scholtz were in London on
Saturday. The former visited
with patients at St. Joseph's
Hospital and Mrs. Scholtz
visited with her sister, Mrs.
Cameron Simmons.
Mr. and Mrs, John Gaunt,
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gaunt and
Janet of Exeter and Mr. and
Mrs. George Gaunt of Lucknow
spent Saturday at the Royal
Winter Fair, Toronto.
Mrs. Ed Walker is visiting
in Ottawa with her son, Mr.
George Walker, Mrs. Walker
and family.
Miss Helen Currie of London
spent the week-end with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Currie.
Mrs. Wm, Orr and Mrs. Wesley
Young prepared the program.
The president, Mrs, Charles
Tiffin, gave the call to wor-
ship, Mrs, George Young read
the Scripture. The meditation,
"A Time to Remember" was
given by Mrs. Welsh, Mrs.
Wesley Young led in prayer.
A reading, "The Torch" ,
was given by Mrs. Orr. The
offertory prayer was given by
Mrs, Jansen.
Mrs. Gordon Wall read the
minutes, The roll call was
answered by eight members
and one visitor. Three child-
ren were present.
The December meeting will
be held December 7 at the
home of Mrs. Charles Tiffin.
Mrs. Welsh and Mrs, McGill-
vary will prepare the program.
There will be an exchange of
Christmas gifts and the roll
call will be answered with a
Scripture verse pertaining to
Christmas.
Mrs. Gordon Wall gave the

Mrs. Gordon Wall told of
the Indian school. Mrs, Mc-
Gillvary gave a reading, "Life".
The meeting was closed
with the Lord's prayer in unison.
Mrs. Welsh served lunch and
Mrs. Tiffin gave courtesy re-
marks.

2 lbs. chicken breasts, 1 tsp. salt
drumsticks 2 tsps. hot water
1/3 cup flour 1/2 cup chicken gravy 1/4 cup shortening 1/4 tsp. lemon juice, pinch
1/3 cup minced onion grated lemon rind
2 tsps. paprika 1/2 cup sour cream
Dust chicken with flour. In skillet heat shortening. Add
chicken and brown lightly on all sides, Add onion.
Sprinkle with paprika and salt. Add hot water, Cover,
simmer about 45 minutes Or until tender. Stir in chicken
gray r, lemon juice, lemon rind and heat. Fold in sour
cream, Makes 4 to 8 servings.
