Presbyterian anniversary GORRIE—The Rev. Robin Boggs, 13. A. , of Weston was guest minister at the Knox Pres- byterian Church anniversary sere vice, basing his sermon on "The Builders". Mrs. Norman Dickson of Lis- towel and Howard Harris sang a duet, "Come, Holy Spirit". The church was decorated with baskets of chrysanthe- mums and a capacity congrega- tion attended. friendship Unit holds meeting WROXETee-,The monthly meeting of the Friendship Unit of the Wreeeter U.C.W. was held at the home of Mrs. L. VanVelsor, The call to worship was giv- en by Mrs. VanVelsor, follow- ed by scripture reading and prayer by Mrs, Wearring. A discussion of the fifth chap- ter from "The Church Grows in Canada" was given by Mrs.Vare Velsor and Mrs. Wearring and dealt with the part played by smaller denominations and sects of the protestant church in Can- ada. Mrs. Lockwood reported on the U.C.W. conference held at Alma College in August, at which she was a delegate. Mrs. K, Edgar conducted the business and closed the meet- ing with the Mizpah benedic- tion. A social period followed.
