with baskets of chrysanthe-
mums and a capacity congrega-
tion attended.

held at the home of Mrs. L.

The call to worship was giv-
en by Mrs. VanVelsor, follow-
ed by scripture reading and
prayer by Mrs, Wearring.
A discussion of the fifth chap-
ter from "The Church Grows in
Canada" was given by Mrs.Vare
Velsor and Mrs. Wearring and
dealt with the part played by
smaller denominations and sects
of the protestant church in Can-
ada.
Mrs. Lockwood reported on
the U.C.W. conference held at
Alma College in August, at
which she was a delegate.
Mrs. K, Edgar conducted the
business and closed the meet-
ing with the Mizpah benedic-
tion. A social period followed.

PORK CHOPS with Spaghetti
4 lean pork chops (thick)
Salt and pepper
1 small onion chopped
1 can (2%) tomatoes
1 tbsp, brown sugar
1 tbSp, cider vinegar
1/4 -1b. thin broken spaghetti
Method: Make sure pork chops are meaty and
thick; trim off any excess fat. Heat this fat in a HEINZ -- 16.oz.
\ PICKLES
fryer and brown pork chops. Sprinkle salt and
pepper on while they are browning. Add onion and
tomatoes, sugar. vinegar and spaghetti. Cover and
simmer thirty minutes longer, or until spaghetti is
tender. Serves 4.
