Solicitation of
Briefs
CONESTOGA COLLEGE of APPLIED ARTS and
TECHNOLOGY invites the attention and interest of
citizens, students, and organizations in the counties
of Huron, Perth, Wellington and Waterloo,
The co-operation is sought particularly of per-
sons in industry, commerce and business, education,
agriculture, technology and technical areas, and in
the applied arts, samples of which might be food
supervision, nursery education, library arts, welfare
and health services, community family work, graphic
arts, etc.
As of January, 1968, the College will be offering
post-secondary courses of three-, two-, and one-year
duration at the technologist, technician and skilled
levels in
Applied Arts Technology
Business and Commerce Technical Areas
Extension courses as requested and supported
will be offered. Academic upgrading will be pro-
vided for mature students nineteen years of age or
over, who may not have the Grade 12 or 13 admis-
sion requirements.
An Invitation--
In order that the College may best serve the
needs of all in the above counties, Briefs, containing
suggestions as to which post-secondary courses
should be offered by Conestoga College, are warmly
invited. The most effective Briefs will probably
outline the course and subject matter considered im-
portant, provide a justifiable estimates of the present
need and the employment possibilities of 2-7 years
hence, contain suggestions or offers as to co-opera-
tion from area organizations or professional associ-
tions, and recommend the level of competence de-
sirable upon graduation, etc.

forty-one members attended the
Darling-Sangster family reunion
in Delmore Park on Civic Holi-
day. The afternoon got off to a
fine start with an exciting ball ,
game. Races and contests were
held with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Jeffray and Mr. and Mrs. Alan
Darling, sports committee, in
charge.

WHITECHURCH-On Mon-
day evening of last week Mr.
and Mrs. Eric Elliott and fam-
ily of Ottawa, Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Currie and family,

DeBoer and Miss Leah Currie,
Wingham, gathered at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cur-
rie to celebrate Mr. and Mrs.
Eric Elliott's 25th wedding an-
niversary. During the evening
they presented them with gifts
of silver.

lowed by prayer led by Mrs,
Laura. Johnston, Mrs, George
Michie read a tribute to pio-
neer ancestors, The group sang
"centennial Hymn", the words
of which were written by Mrs.
Mentie PuVal of Wingharn.
Skits were given by groups at
the various tables. These de-
picted the ways people are cele•
brazing the Centennial rear,
1967.
"Faith of our Fathers" was
sung. Mrs. Ross. Anderson spoke
of the centennial projects of
the church and presented the
film "By the King a Procla"
mation".
Mrs. Jack Taylor conducted
the business period. A bale was
sent in June. The treasurer's
report was given by Mrs. Geo.
Michie. It was decided not to
have a bazaar this year,
The next meeting, the au-
tumn thankoffering, will be on
September 28. The lunch fol.,
lowing the centennial church
service was planned,
Cadet R.H. Adams
completes course
O.P.P. Constable Cadet
Robert H. Adams recently grad-
uated from the Ontario Provin-
cial Police College in Toronto
after successful completion of
the recruit orientation course.
Upon graduation Cadet Adams
was posted to the Cayuga de-
tachment, No. 4 District, Ni-
agara Falls,
Cadet Adams is the son of
James E. Adams of R. R. 2
Bluevale. He attended Wing-
ham District High School and
received his Secondary School
Graduation Diploma there be-
fore joining the Ontario Provin-
cial Police. He now resides in
Niagara Falls.
Cadet Adams' brother, Con-
stable James D. Adams, is with
the Owen Sound detachment
