Harrison-Edwards nuptials celebrated at United Church in Teeswater

sage,
ing letter today from a reput-
able jewelry store. I think it is
outrageous that a place of
business would go to such ex-
tremes to Collect a hill.
First let me tell you we ire
respectable people and we try
to pay our bills gn time Once
in a while, we do get behind but
we have never gone completely
dead on a bill. Here is the
letter we received, Please com-
ment:
"Dear Sir: Your account has
been on our books for over a
year. We respectfully remind
you that we have now carried
you longer than your mother
did, Thank you for your prompt
attention."
Isn't that awful? - DISGUST-
ED WITH GIMMICKS.
Dear Disgusted: Sorry, but I
think it's pretty funny. It ill
behooves a person who is a
year iri arrears to criticize a
merchant who tries to get his
money.
* * *
Dear Ann Landers: The letter
from Constantina, the girl who
thought she was pregnant and
then discovered she wasn't,
could have been written by me.
When I told my boy friend I
was P.O., I saw his true colors.
The first thing he did was try
to blame it on someone else
even though he knew he was
my first and only serious boy
friend. Then he got mad and
called me "dumb" and said I
got pregnant to trap him.
His third act was one I will
never forget. He said he couldn't
face his parents and suggested
that I tell my parents I was
raped by a stranger because he
was going to deny everything.
Two days later I discovered
I was not pregnant and told him
so by mail. The next day he
was back. smiley-faced and
ready to take up where we had
left off. I told him I never
wanted to see him again, which
was the understatement of the
year.
That little scare was the best
thing that ever happened to me,
Ann. It gave me the second
chance some girls never get,
and believe me I am-GRATE-
FUL.
Dear Grateful: Thanks for
sharing your nightmare. It
should make interesting reacting
for some of you girls out them
who think if something happens,
the "love of your life" will sure,
ly stand by you.
Dear Ann• Landers: Please tell
me how to get rid of a star
boarder. My husband has this
friend who works in the same
office and gives him a lift every
morning. (The, office is 15
minutes from here and the bus
stops at our corner).
My husbanns supposed to be
ready at 8:00 a.m., but this
friend always shows up at 7:30
-just in time for breakfast. He
comes in, sits down at the table
and says, "III have a cup of
coffee." Then he remarks on
how good the bacon smells and
how great the wheat cakes look,
and ends up having a complete
breakfast.
This man has a wife at home
but he says he doesn't like to
bother her in the morning. He
doesn't mind bothering ME,
however, and I resent it. It's
not the extra work or the extra
groceries but I don't appreciate
serving a guest every morning
at the crack of dawn. What's
the solution?-HOWDY DO-DEE.
Dear Howdy: It would be a
good idea if your husband walk-
ed at least part way to work
or took the bus. Suggest it.
Dear Ann Landers: I have
been bugged about something
for a long time and decided to
ask you for a solution.
My wife and I go out quite
often with a couple we've known
for years. When it comes time
to pay the check the other fel-
low takes my share in cash and
charges off the whole evening
on his extiense account. He calls
it "business." This means he is
having a good time on company
dough and making money be-
sides. What do you suggest?-.
BEN HAD,
Dear Ben: Insist oh taking
turns paying the check. When
it's your turn, give the mono
to the waiter, not- the chiseler.
What is love? How does it
differ from sexual attraction?
