Ladies' Auxiliary to the Legion sponsored
an outing for nearly 90 veterans from
London's Westminster Hospital. Enjoying
the day in Wingham were William Baldwin,
a native of England whose home is in
Nova Scotia; Walter Kraftcheck, orginally
from Toronto and H. MacPherson, a native
of Calgary.

St Stephen's
Guild meets
GORRIE--The June meeting
of St. Stephen's Guild was held
at the home of Mrs. Harry King.
The Meeting was opened with
prayer by the president, Mrs.
John Stafford. Roll call was
answered by naming a favorite
flower. Twelve members and
three guests attended.
A reading was given by Mrs.
John Bennett and the secretary's
report was given by Mrs. Tom
Ash. The financial report was
read by Mrs. Vern Clarke.
Plans were made for the cen-
tennial church service to be
held Sunday, July 9 with Rev.
Douglas Vogan as guest speak-
er.
The group has donated two
lawn chairs to the Fordwich
Nursing Home. The meeting
closed with prayer by Rev.Jen-
kins.
The mystery prize was won
by Mrs. Harold King and lunch
was served by the hostess and
Mrs. Bruce Bennett.

tennial Committee held a meet-
ing this week to further plans
for their centennial celebration

amount to $150 and entries

Ages" Mrs, Jefferson closed the
meeting with prayer.
