TYPICAL OF THE continuing emphasis on
comfort and elegance for 1967 is this new
sofa, reminiscent of the era of Jean Har-
low. This living room piece combines
seating comfort for conversation with the
recliner luxury of the chaise lounge.
JEAN HARLOW'S PLATINUM blonde beauty
and sensational boudoir ensembles made
the movie screen smolder in the 30s, This
photograph of her in sinuous silk crepe
drape typified the slinky elegance of the
30s look. Now that look is back. So is
the luxury of silk crepe-but in an ultra
modern fabric that has all the softness,
richness and beauty of traditional crepe
combined with the easy care qualities of
nylon tricot.

When you're ready to pack,
you may find it can be Made
simpler by listing general cate-
gories and then specific items
you'll need in each category.
For example, list cooking arid
eating utensils as Well as food-
stuffs under the general head-
ing. "Meals", As you pack,
Check off each item. This way
a quick glance at the list as-
sures you that you've brought
all you intended. Mother can
assign some lists to Dad and the
older children, too,
Meals can be the simplest
imaginable. Even finicky eat-
ers develop ravenous appetites
while camping. Instant coffee,
hot chocolate and fruit juices
are space-savers and don't re.
quire refrigeration. Foods like
instant potatoes are much more
palatable than they were several
years ago, too, Individual
cereal boxes save space and
provide variety. Check the
supermarket shelves for other
ideas. If you have a small ba-

Bedding in your camping
trailer is the at-home variety,
made up before you leave,
Small children may be most
comfortable on chilly nights,
however, in next-year's snow-
suit with big socks sewn over
the cuffs. A small baby can
sleep in his car bed, while a
still-in-crib toddler will drop
off quickly in his playpen plac-
ed inside the camper.
Make a special "tool-kir"
out of a small suitcase by in-
serting cardboard strips for
dividers. Buy each member of
the family a new toothbrush and
comb as part of your permanent
camping equipment. Also stock
your "tool-kit" with first aid
equipment, small scissors, nee-
dle and thread, facial and bath-
room tissue, soap and detergent,
insect spray, sunburn lotion,
pencil and paper, flashlight,
camera and film, various other
small items, arid the last min-
ute toilet articles for each fam-
ily member.
When packing clothing,
you'll save lots of searching and
suitcase mess by folding one'
pair of trousers, socks and under-
wear together.and buttoning
them inside the shirt or blouse.
If you leave in the evening,
pack pajamas and towel and
washcloth on top. For small
children, pack one extra day's
wear,
When you plan a longer trip,
you'll find that there are really
very few differences in your
packing routine. You'll bring a
bit more of everything, but
don't over-pack. You can plan
on stopping at a coin-operated
laundry at least once and pack
only half as much clothing.The•
availability of supermarkets
makes it wise to pack only a
few perishable items, although,
if you have time, you can shop
for all the canned goods you'll
need before leaving.
If your destination is a long
way from home, plan frequent
rest stops. Don't try to do too
much in two weeks. Children --
and their parents - are happier
when they're not confined to
the car all day.
-Mr. and Mrs. John Young
of Blyth and Mr. Stewart Young
of Fort William visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Elgin Johnston and Mr,
and Mrs. Lloyd Walker on Fri-
day.
