He received the Harry Cross Silver Medal for the Electrical Engineering course. Cousins meet offer 54 Fears 13ELGRAVE—Mrs. Winnie Smith had with her for a week her cousin, J, H, Allen and his wife from Reading, Berkshire, England, whom she had not seen for 54 years, They had a joyful time recalling old times, Joe remembers well when his cousin embarked with her moth- er and father, brothers and sis- ters to come to Canada to make their new home, Mrs,. Smith does not remember Joe as she was only nine years old. Joe was five years older. The Aliens thought Canada was a lovely place and were surprised to find things so mod- ern, Mr. Allen said to his cousin, "You have even got the modern eye glasses." They apparently expected to find things similar to pioneer times. They left for Willowdale last Friday to spend a week with Mrs, Allen's cousin and were going TO Lake Sitr1Q90 to enjoy a week there, Mr, and Mrs, Ralph McCrea had a family dinner for them, which included Mr. and Mrs, Lorne Harmer, Mrs, Winnie Smith encl Albert Vincent. The other cousins were unable to attend, Mr, Allen also won a prize at the Howson & Howson Open house that day.. Gorrie Mrs, Grant Miller and Vicki Jo of Sudbury visited Mr. and Mrs. Archie Miller. Mr. Ronald McNeil of Lon- don is relieving at the C,P.R. station while Mr. and Mrs. L, Schenk are on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Un- derwood of Wingham and Mr, and Mrs. Wesley Underwood spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Alan Underwood of Ux- bridge. St Helens Mr. and Mrs. Norris Wilson and sons of Hamilton spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs, Ross Errington and family, Mr. and Mrs. Allan. Cm, ston left on Friday evening to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs, J. Kapsharner at Arcola, Sask, Mr, Kapshamer is very ill. Mr, and Mrs, Keith Gardner and little son of Calgary are visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald borscht, Mrs. W, I. Miller and Iso- bel, Mrs. Tom Todd, Mrs. Frank MeQuillin and Mr. and Mrs, Allan Miller and family attended the Salkeld reunion on Sunday at Goderich, Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Frank McQuillin on the week- end were Mr, and Mrs. Irvin McCabe and Brian of Windsor and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnston of Bluevale, Miss Caroline Mathers was guest of honor at a miscellane- ous shower on Saturday evening in St. Helens Hall. Albert Vincent of Bel- grave attended the wedding of his nephew at Winthrope Church on Saturday, The groom was Mr, William tlarburn of Hen- Sall and the bride was Miss Mai,. lene Tupper of Winthrope, The reception was held in the church parlor. HELENS—On Saturday, Brian Rintoul auctioned three schools in West Wawanosh, The Sr. Helens School was purchas- ed by Hugh McKenzie of Sud- bury, formerly of Langside, Fordyce school was purchased by William Rintoul and the Township Hall School by Elmer Foran.
