A large congregation of par-
ents and children were present
for the service.
Mrs. Ruth Beard sang the
solo, "He Smiled on Me"
(O'Hara) and the choir sang the
anthem "The King of Love"
(Shelley) with Mrs. Donald
Lloyd as soloist. The service
was broadcast on CKNX radio,
and new microphones and equip
ment combining the public ad-
dress and radio broadcasting
systems just installed in the
church were used for the first
time.
Flowers were placed in the
church by the Rev. and Mrs.
A. E. C. Pentland in memory
of their mothers, Mrs. 3. H.
Christie and Mrs. S. V. R. Pent,
land.
