LAKELET—The weekly card
party was held on Monday eve-
ning at the W, I. hall, Both
euchre and solo were played.
Prize winners in euchre were,
high score fur ladies, Mrs, B,
Stewart; high score for gents,
S. Dennis; low score, Miss Fran-
ces Inglis.
Prize winners in solo were
high score 8, Hubbard, low
score, D. Dickerr. The special
prize was won by Mrs. Robt, Al-
lan.

LAKELET—Mr. and Mrs,War
ren Zurbrigg attended the Co,
Operatives Insurance Associa-
tion conference at Windsor on
Saturday. At this meeting the
Huron County Federation of
Agriculture received a plaque
for having 7,000 C.I.A. poli*;
ties in force in the county at
the end of 1906,
Mr. and Mrs, Klaus Duewel
and children, Christian and
Joan of Brigden, visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wright on
Monday of last week.
Mr, and Mrs. Emerson Fer-
guson and family visited at the
home of Mr. and Mrs, Allan
Dewar of Clifford on Sunday.
Mr. Elmer Greenly returned
to his home on Wednesday from
Bruce County Hospital, Walker-
ton, and Mr. Ervin Dickert re-
turned home from the same hos-
pital on Thursday. We wish
them continued good health.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin J. Yod-
er moved from Lot 7, Con, Id
Howick to the state of Indiana
on Tuesday of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. James Inglis
spent several days last week in
the city of Toronto, visiting at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ver-

March meeting in the Sunday
school room Sunday afternoon.
The theme of the meeting was
"Brotherhood".
Milton Purdon, president,
gave the call to worship and
"What A Friend We Have in Je-
sus" was sung. Thelma Purdon
read the Scripture. Prayer was
given by Janet Sleighthoirn,
The offering was received by
Ronald Soloman and Linda Fur-
don dedicated it in prayer.
The roll call was answered
by 15, Cathy Soloman read the
minutes. An Messengers are
reminded to take their mite
boxes next Sunday, March 20.
The story, "The Gold Rush
for Samaritans" was from the
study book, "Blazing Trails in
Canada" and was given by the
superintendent, Mrs. Dave Gibb,

'Women was held last Wednes-
day in the Sunday school rooms,
Tile Easter devotions were
led by Mrs, Jack Inglis assisted
by Mrs. jack Ferguson and Mrs,
James Busby,. The hymn, "The
Head that Once Was Crowned
with Thorns" was sung, follow-
ed by the study period.
Mrs. R, McComb read about
the French protestanrc and the
British protestants in LowerCan-
ada and Mrs. Robert Wood dem-
onstrated by map and read about
the protestants in Upper Canada.
She concluded with a contest,
"How well did you listen?" , The
roll call was answered with a
Lenten thought.
The business was conducted
by Mrs. Harvey Wright, Mrs.
E. Haskins and Mrs, C. Ren-
wick gave the first two readings
from the book, "An Invitation
to Canada". The meeting clos-
ed with prayer by the president.
