Leota King, Leo Balser and Stew Forsyth were our spares for the night. Thanks for coming out on such a dirty night, spares! The team standings are be- ginning to tighten up and as you can see by the points, any-; body can win. It was nice to see Louise back with us again after such a long lay-off, I took a survey of the beards, and it won't be any time at all before these cen- tennial-minded bowlers can borrow either Ruth's or Isabel's rollers. And, by the way Bill J.. we do not give cigars for taking out the headpin, then following through with the next two balls. You will have to do better than that to get a cigar. And the question of the eve- CROWN ning is How come Rita and Norman, who will be away for the month of March, didn't share that going-away present with the rest of us? We're all going to miss you, you know. Hope you both have fun! Team standings: Black Horse 80; Black Label 79; Red Cap78; Vienna 68; Canadians 65; Crys- tals 51. The high single for the la- dies went to Ruth Lott with a 290. She also took the high triple with 694. (Did you use Carl's "magic marker", Ruth?) And for the second time in a row, Bill Hotchkiss took the high single with 335 and the high triple with 797. Still nice bowling, Bill. 0-0-0 THURSDAY NIGHT MIXED LEAGUE SAT.-MON.-TUES. The first game of the series saw Wingham down Gila. ton by a 6-1 score in an exeit. jog game. The Wingham juveniles were eliminated from competition during the past week but I would like to offer our thanks to Jon Bateson as coach. The drama club workshop was held in the town hall over the week-end but poor weather conditions kept attendance down. Mr. Faultner from Tor- onto provided excellent advice and those able to get in for the course were well rewarded. 0--0--0 At the arena, public skating will be held on Thursday from 8;00 to 10;00 p.m., on Satur- day from 2:00 to 4;00 p.m. and on Sunday from 2;00 to 4;00 p.m. 0-0-0 A Red Cross leader patrol course is being held in Owen Sound from March 21 to 31.
