Perdue Funeral service was held on Tuesday of last week at the R. A, Currie & Son funeral home for Mrs. Albert M, Per- due who died in Wingham and District Hospital on Feburary 19, following a lingering illness. Rev. G. E. Packenharn con- ducted the service. The pall- bearers were Martin Grasby, Herson Irwin, George Jordan, George Cook, Alex McBurney and Robert Procter. The former Ellen (Nellie) McCrea was the daughter of the late Charles and Jemmia Mc- Crea. She was born in Morris Township and was in her 90th year at the time of her death. She was a resident of Belgrave. On June 19, 1901 she mar- ried Dr. Albert M. Perdue in Belgrave. They lived in Clif- ford for 20 years where her late husband was district veterinar- ian. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Belgrave and of the Ladies' Guild of that church. Mrs. Perdue is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Mildred) Vannan of Belgrave and Mrs. George (Laura) Sarg- cant of Rahaboth, Mass., and one son, John Nelson of Toron- to. There are five grandchild- ren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Perdue was the last sur- vivor of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McCrea. He was 69, Mr. Hansson was born in Sweden. His parents were the late Hans Andersson and Stina- Lisa Vikstrom. He never mar- ried and is survived by a broth- er and two sisters living in Swed- en, and a brother, Carl G. Hansson of R.R. 1 Wingham, with whom he had been very close. all his life. Hans Hansson came to Can- ada from Sweden in 1930 arid settled in Saskatchewan. With his broth Carl he was employed by mining and logging concerns in British Columbia and Alberta until 1941. He then lived in and around Toronto and was a machinist until 1952. From 1952 to 1965 he was a caretak- er. While in Toronto he was employed by C.G.E„ Bell Telephone and the Board of Education. Mr. Hansson was a member of the Lutheran Church. He retired in 1965 and the following year moved to this district. He was a kind man with a humble character and was always ready to give a help- ing hand wherever he could. His sister-in-law, Mrs. Aud- rey Hansson, is a sister of Mrs. Hazel Batetnan of town. Funeral service was held at the S. 1. Walker funeral home on Friday afternoon, with Capt. A. Ferris of the Salvation Army in charge. Pallbearers were Clare Niergarth, Jack Deans, T, West Haugh, Gordon Bate- man, Donald Bateman and S.J.
