Church annual meeting
BELMORE,-The annual meet~
tog of Knox Presbyterian Church
was held in the church recent-
ly, with Rev. B. R. Hawkes,
minister, in charge.
Reports were given by the
church treasurer, Bruce Darl-
ing, and by the treasurers of all
Organizations, Explorers, Child-
ren of the Church, Sunday
School, Young People's Society,
and Women's Missionary So-
elev. All organizations report-
ed a successful year,
There were 28 children en-
rolled in Explorers, studying on
the theme "How Christians Live
Their Love". Allan Dickson
and Margaret Jeffrey received
Life Memberships. Leader was
Mrs. Alvin Mundell. The
Children of the Church, with
leader, Mrs, Bruce Darling, had
an enrolment of 24.
The Session report stated
that there were two baptisms in
19 66. Present membership
stands at 97. A Young People's
Society was organized during
December 1966. Bibles for
church attendance were present-
ed to Judy, Jeffray and Paul
Dickson and Donna Jeffray,
Officers are: Trustees, Ken
Dickson, Fleming Ballagh, El-
mer Jeffray; managers, Elmer
Jeffrey, Carl Nickel, Bruce
Darling, Mrs, Robert Inglis,
George Dickson, Wallace Rich,
ardson, Mrs. Ken Dickson,
Ralph Dickson, Douglas Mc-
Pherson, George Nickel; cong-
regational secretary, Mrs. Har-
vey Ballagh; organist and choir
leader, Mrs. Alvin Mundell;
auditors, Wallace Richardson
and Mrs. Elmer Ballagh.

In the Presbyterian Church
Rev. B. R, Hawkes was in
charge of the service, The
junior choir provided special
music. Following the service,
a meeting was held, during
which a representative from
each organization in the church
was elected to form a commit-
tee for planning a centennial
project.
World Day of Prayer service
will be held for all Delmore
churches on. Friday afternoon at
2 p.m. in the BeLmore United
Church. All women are invit-
ed to attend.
