tion Drive, Willowdale, be-
lovedwife of John V. Dodds
(formerly of Howick Township).
Interment Tuesday, September
27, at York Cemetery.

GORRIE—The September
meeting of the W.A. of St.
Stephen's Anglican Church was
held in the Sunday Schoolroom
on Thursday afternoon when a
quilt was quilted.
A short devotional service
was conducted by the president,
Mrs. Gordon Underwood. She
read a short article on the
Psalms from the Living Mes-
sage. Mrs. Norman Waderead
the Scripture.
Mrs. R. T. Bennett read the
minutes and Mrs. Verne Clark
read of the work of a mission-
ary, Miss Lillias Powell, who
retired after serving for many
years in Japan in a tuberculosis
sanitarium.
At the next meeting on Oc-
tober 20th the Rev. George
Hamilton of Warwick, former-
ly of Fort Simpson, N.W.T.
will be present to give a talk to
the ladies. W.A. members
from Fordwich and Brussels are
invited.
At the close of the meeting,
lunch was served.
