tute will hold its October meet-
ing in the community hall at
8.30, Oct. 18, a change of
date because of the Ploughing
Match at Seaforth. There will
be a hobby display and the roll
call, "a gift for a cancer pa-
tient". Guests for the evening
will be Teeswater, Belmore and
Wroxeter W.I. branches.

don spent last week with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nea-
ble and on Wednesday, Mrs.
Matilda Graham of Teeswater
and her mother. Mrs. Bill Nea-
ble. accompanied her to Lis-
towel where they visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nichol.

from Mrs. A. McQuillan's
house on Saturday to their home

Hall who will spend a few weeks
with her sister-in-law, Mrs.
Bob Hall.
Mr. Harold Walker of E.
Wawanosh leaves this week to
take up residence in an apart-
ment in Goderich.
CLASSY COOKS
BELGRAVE—The fourth meet,
ing was held in the church base-
ment. The pledge and motto
opened the meeting. Judy
Chandler read the minutes and
11 members answered the roll
call. Members made cheese
fondu; cooked rice and white
Sauce.
The fifth meeting was at-
tended by 13. Brenda Johnston
read the minutes, Miss Car-
roll, home economist for Hur-
on County, was present and
spoke about their books. French
dressing, tossed salad and gar-
nishes for salads were demon-
strated by the girls. Lunch was
served.
MENU MEDDLERS
LAKELET—The fourth meet-
ing was held at Mrs. Burchill's
with perfect attendance. Roll
call was, " A dessert suitable
for supper". There was a part
for nearly everyone in the pre-
paration of cheese fondue and
baked rice and cheese. Notes
were taken on, meal planning,
meat alternates and leftovers.
The members sampled the cas-
seroles.
LAKELET TWOS
LAKELET—The third meet-
ing was held at the home of
Mrs. Stuart Douglas. Roll call,
"A supper menu I have planned
at home" was answered by all
six members. Notes were tak-
en on using fruits for supper,
raw, cooked and dried fruits,
and "Good Foods are Economi-
cal". For group work stuffed
apples, fruit cups and prune
sponge were made.
KOOKEEZE
WROXETER—Five members
and one leader attended the
third meeting at the home of
Mrs. Wm. Wright. Roll call
was a supper menu planned at
home and Mrs. Wright discuss-
ed "Good Foods are Economi-
cal". Fruit dishes were prepar-
ed using apples, figs and prunes
to make fruit cup and upside-
down cake.
MERRY CHEFS
WHITECHURCH—On Wed-
nesday, Darlene Simpson,
Margo DeBruyn, Mary Lou Ad-
ams, Brenda King, Sandra Fish-
er, Pamela King, Diane Coul-
tes and Janis Farrier visited
Raynard Ackert' s butcher shop
where they saw half a carcass
of beef cut up. They were
shown the different cuts and
where they are taken from the
animal.

WHITECHURCH —Eight Chefs
gave one way of serving pork at
the home of Mrs. Emerson on
Monday. Janis Farrier read the
minutes. The next meeting,
Oct. 11, will be at the home
of Darlene Simpson.
Discussion centred on pork
and its cooking, types of pork
and how it is sold, and all
methods of curing pork. Pork
charts were filled in. The
leaders, Mrs. Garnet Farrier
and Mrs. Dave Gibb demonstrat,
ed the cooking of picnic shoul-
der and cabbage. Each will
take a recipe using pork to the
next meeting.
KITCHEN CUTIES
BELGRAVE—Thirteen attend-
ed the third meeting. Mrs.
