A delegation from the Wal-
ton Library Board attended the
regular meeting of Morris Town-
ship Council last Wednesday to
discuss the future of local li-
braries.
William Elston was named
commissioner for the repairs to
the Procter and Laidlaw drains.
The assessor, John Brewer, re-
ported an increase in the assess-
ment for 1966 of $8,423.00 and
a decrease of 111 in population.
The date for court of revis-
ion on the assessment roll was
set for October 3, at 5 p.m. It
was moved that Mr. Brewer re-

To Compete at
London Fair
Twenty Huron County Agri-
cultural Club members will take
part in the 4-i-i Livestock Judg-
ing Competition to be held at
Western Fair on Friday. All
contestants will judge eight
classes of livestock including
dairy, beef, sheep and swine.
Huron County will be repre-
sented in the inter-County team
demonstration competition by
the Turnberry 4-H Calf Club.

be in competition with other 4-

4-H Homemaking Club Program

consist of exhibits, skits, and
demonstrations chosen from
Western Ontario Achievement

Western Fair is providing a
banquet for 4-H Homemaking
Club members for their eve-
ning meal and the opportunity
to see the grandstand perform-
ance. Guest speaker at the

Federation of Agriculture met
Thursday in the board rooms at
Clinton. The president, Chas.
Thomas, presided.
This year's annual meeting
was set for November 30 in the
Londesboro Hall. The com-
mittee to plan this event are
Harvey Taylor, Charles Thom-
as and Elmer Hunter. Mrs. Ted
Fear will plan the ladies' activ-
ities. The next meeting will
be October 6.
