Television Drivers
Test Will Be
Repeated Sept. 6
The Canadian Drivers Test,
a television program originally
broadcast in May on the CBC
national network, will be re-
peated in its entirety on Sep-
tember 6, at 9:30 p.m.
Through 22 questions, most
with "true or false" answers,
The Canadian Drivers' Test per,
snits the home viewer to rate
his knowledge of defensive driv-
ing tactics. The initial pro-
gram aroused such widespread
demand for a repeat that CBC,
with the Canadian Highway
Safety Council's co-operation,
decided to rebroadcast the com-
plete program. A French-lang-
uage version, initially broad-
case June 21 will be repeated
September 8, at 10 p.m.
When The Canadian Drivers
Test was originally broadcast a
group of high school driver edu-
cation graduates outscored a
body of professional drivers.
Both groups were in the studio.
Viewers will be able to mark
their test forms at home, then
compare their scores with the
studio audience. Prior to the
May program, CBC conducted
a survey of a cross-section of
Canadian drivers. The nation-
al average obtained will be
shown for comparison.
