We hope her condition soon shows improvement. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Dever- eaux and Molly of Alliston visit- ed with his parents, Mr. and BELGRAVE—Mrs, George Michie was hostess for the Eas- ter meeting of the Evening Unit of the U.C.W. on Thursday at her home. Mrs. William Coul- ter opened with the worship. The theme was "Jesus, from Birth to Crucifixion". Poems of Jesus' birth were read by Mrs. Stan Hopper; Jesus as a Child, was read by Mrs. Norman Cook; His life as a Man was read by Mrs. Jack Higgins followed by comments on the life of Jesus by Mrs. Coultes, Mrs. Cliff Lo- gan read the Crucifixion and the Easter stories. The Continuing Christ was read by Miss Annie Cook. Appropriate hymns were sung. Mrs. Murray Scott conducted the Bible study from The Word and the Way on the chapter, "Means of Grace" which deals with the baptism and the Lord's Supper. Mrs. Arthur Jackson conduct- ed the business. Minutes were read by Mrs. Jack Higgins and 14 members answered the roll call. The penny collection was received and two home and two hospital visits were recorded. Housecleaning day at the church was announced for April 18, It was reported that 18 pounds of nylons had been sent away. The leadership school at Westmin- ster was announced and also the five-day seminar at Alma Col- lege. An invitation from Blyth U.C.W. was read to attend their meeting on April 24. The Calvin-Brick bus trip to Toron- to was mentioned. Mrs. Maty Hunter gave a short report on the Presbyterial held at Clinton. Mrs. George Michie expressed thanks for the supper and the ushers at the London Conference held in Wingham. Mrs. Ross Anderson was in charge of the mission study on the theme "Criticism ofChurclf and related items ftom the book "The Seas Are Boiling Hot" and Joan Hollandon's article, "Dig ging the Lingo'. She Stated Mrs. Gus Devereaux. Debbie and Doreen Jefferson are spending the holidays with their grandparents, Mr. and Mts. Elgin Josling and family of Londesboro.
