Mc- Cool arrived home Saturday af- ter spending the winter months at Daytona Beach, Florida. Mrs. J. Fryfogle Buried Tuesday The former Ida Mae Ar- buckle, widow of John J. Fry- fogle, died Saturday at Miss Bryan's Nursing Home, Wing- ham, after a short illness. She was born at Zetland 89 years ago. She was a daughter of the late William Arbuckle and Ellen Bannerman. She at- tended school at Zetland. Mr. and Mrs. Fryfogle were married in East Wawanosh Town- ship. He predeceased her July 1, 1940. She is survived by Clayton Fryfogle of Wingham and Mrs. Charles (Vera) Roe of Milver- ton. A son, Harry, and a daughter, Mrs. Grace Mundy of London predeceased her. Mrs. Fryfogle is also surviv- ed by two brothers, Robert Ar- buckle of Toronto and William of Wingham, eight grandchild- ren and 14 great-grandchildren. Rev. Gordon Fish of St. An- drew's Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member, con- ducted funeral service at the R. A. Currie funeral home on Tuesday afternoon, with inter- ment in Maitland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Barry Fry- fogle, John Fryfogle, Douglas Mundy, Robert Arbuckle, Ken Hodgkinson and Gary Reavie. Flower bearers were two grand- sons, John Roe and Randy Fox- ton. Young People Meet in Clinton Huron County Kairos Young People of the United Church of Canada was held in Clinton Ontario St. United Church with 25 present. The topic for dis- cussion was based on the film, "The Church - Form or Force". From this arose very interesting and argumentative discussion. After the buzz groups Rev. Tchanz of Londesboro led the concluding part. Lunch was served. Discussion at the April 16 meeting in Brussels will be on the Truscott Case. The meet- ing opens at 8.30 p.m. Men's Club FORDWICH- The Men's Club of Fordwich United Church met Monday night in the Sunday school rooms. Warren Zurbrigg and Elmer Harding had charge of the devotions. A panel discussion on the union of the Anglican and Unit- ed Churches of Canada was held with Rev. A. C. Coles (United) and Rev. Harold Jenkins (Angli- can) leading the panel. A short question period followed which was most informative. Lunch was enjoyed at the close. The happy occasion was marked by a family gathering. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wylie and family and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Wylie and family. Bennett Dies Suddenly WROXETER-Robert John Bennett, 52, died suddenly at his home in Turnberry Town- ship on Saturday, April 2. Mr. Bennett attended St. James' Anglican Church regu- larly and when he was not in church on Sunday Jack Milli- gan went to his farm home. He did not receive an answer at the house and notified Kenneth Ben- nett. They found Mr. Bennett on his tractor in the stable, where he had been working. Mr. Bennett never married. He was a son of the late Edwin Bennett and Bertha Gilmar. He is survived by brothers, Ken- neth of Turnberry and Richard of Sundridge and sisters, Mrs. John (Laura) Jenkins of Walker- ton and Miss Ferne Bennett of Toronto. Rev. H. D. Jenkins conduct- ed funeral service at the Moir funeral home Tuesday after- noon. Interment was in Wrox- eter Cemetery. Mrs. G. Ramsay Dies in London WHITECHURCH-Mrs. Les- ter Falconer received word Sat- urday of the passing of Mrs. Ramsay, widow of Dr. George A. Ramsay, at St. Joseph's Hos- pital, London on Friday. Dr. Ramsay, a bone special- ist, was well-known here and was a cousin of Mrs. Falconer, The funeral was on Monday with service at St. John's Angli- can Church and interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Mr., Mrs. Johnston Receive Gifts WHITECHURCH- A surprise euchre party was held at Cur- rie's School Friday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Gershom Johnston who have moved to Wingham. Eighteen tables were in play. Prize winners were Mrs. Clarence Ritchie and Mrs. Lorne Scott, playing as a man. Low scores were held by Mrs. Phillip Dawson and Charles Shiell. Mrs. Roy Dawson was the draw winner, Roy Pattison read an address and Mr. and Mrs. Johnston were presented with a platform rock- er and an electric clock by Howard Walker, Noble Green- away and Bob Scott. Mr. Johnston expressed ap- preciation for the gifts and the pleasant social evening spent among their friends of long standing. The children enjoyed games and contests in the basement. Fordwich The Fordwich C. G.% T. held a very successful daffodil tea and bake sale on Saturday afternoon in the United Church basement. The leaders, Mrs. Glenn Johnston and Mrs. Jack Mann, and the C.
