Tommy and Donald remained to spend Christmas holidays with their parents. Mrs. Robert Ross left on Mothers Enjoy Concert WHITECHURCI-1--On Tues- day afternoon S.S. No. 10 held a Red Cross meeting to which the mothers in the section were invited. Cathy Soloman pre- sided for the meeting which opened with "O Canada" and a welcome recitation by Rickey Hand. A chorus, "Merry Chrise- mas" was sung by the pupils. The minutes were read by the secretary, John Gibb. The roll call was answered by "Something for Christmas". The collection was received by Ronnie Henderson. The juniors entertained with a song and Clair Weber and Monty Nor- man gave recitations. A nativity scene was pre- sented. Cathy Soloman and Doris Fisher sang "Silent Night". A play, "Leave It to Lottie" was given by Heather Hand, :°13 eVitikez ioAdte � y Doris Fisher, Brenda Ritchie and Brenda Soloman. Thesen- ior girls sang "Silver Bells" and "White Christmas". The Highland Fling was danced by Doris Fisher, Cathy Soloman, Brenda Soloman, Gail Rintoul and Heather Hand. The senior boys sang "Some- thing to Sing About". Recitations were given by Earl Thompson, Jim Henderson, Randy Jansen and pre-schooler, Donald Ritchie. "The Flag of Canada" and "Dear Little Baby Jesus" were sung by all pupils. There were about 15 moth- ers present. The teacher pre- sented all pupils with treats, each boy with a pen and each girl with a weather vane. The pupils gave the teacher a love- ly sandwich plate.
