Radio Auction Is Very Successful Kin Stewart Leedham, chair- man of the 16th annual Radio Auction, reported to the Kins- men Club of Wingham at last Tuesday's meeting that the Ra- dio Auction conducted by the club on Dec. 2 was the most successful. About $900.00 was realized which is up several hundred over previous years. The items that are auctioned are donated by local and area business and professional peo- ple, and are sold to the highest bidder. Dr. Leedham pointed out that the bidding created much more enthusiasm, which is be- lieved to be because of the earlier starting time. This yeafs auction started at seven and finished at eleven fifteen. The funds raised will be used by the Kinsmen Club service projects in the community simi- lar to the senior citizens' apart- ments, Riverside bath house, wading pool, for Boy Scouts and other worthy projects. The Kinsmen thank those who so generously donated and those who phoned in bids, CKNX and the Advance -Times for their co-operation.
