THE BROWNTOWN SCHOOL was the scene of a Christmas
concert on Monday which may well be its last if plans
for a central school in Morris Township are carried out.
The group presented a series of Christmas songs. From

NIGHTIE NIGHTS
LAKELET--The sixth meet-
ing of the Nightie Nights 4-1-1
homemaking club was held at
the home of Mrs. Gordon
Wright with Miss Connie Allan
presiding. Nine girls answered
the roll call which was "A fin-
ish I will use on my nightgown
or pyjamas".
Demonstrations were given
on applying eyelet edging,
sewing on lace by hand, and
the satin stitch used in a mono-
gram.
The next meeting will be
held December 29th. There
was an exchange of Christmas
gifts at the close of the meet-
ing.

Mrs. Angus Falconer and fam-
ily of Streetsville and Mr. and
Mrs. Elgin Welwood of Cale -

On Sunday the United
Church here will hold a candle
lighting service in the evening
at 8.30 to which the public is
invited. The regular afternoon
service at the church will be
withdrawn for the evening ser-
vice.
Mrs. Claude Coffin of Kit-
chener was a Saturday caller in
the village.
Mr. Gershom Johnston was
in Toronto on Monday, when
he shipped some cattle.
On Friday evening Mr. and
Mrs. Russel Ross and Doris, Mr.
and Mrs. Wallace Conn and Al-
ma were visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Douglas Conley.
Visitors on Saturday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. Gershom
Johnston were Mr. and Mrs.
Alex Leaver of Wingham and
Mr. George Gregg. Sunday
visitors at the same home were

Culross visited Friday evening
