Ladies Hold Joint Meeting WHITECHURCH--The Lang - side W.M.S. and Ladies' Aid held a joint meeting on Thurs- day at the home of Mrs. Geo. Young. Mrs. Robert Bregman pre- sided. Christmas carols were sung. Mrs. Elmer Scott read the Scripture while Mrs. Gor- don Wall gave the meditation and Mrs. Lloyd Moffat led in prayer. The secretary, Mrs. Wesley Young read the minutes. It was decided not to have meetings for the winter months and to meet in April with the leaders, Mrs. Charles Tiffin and Miss Emma Richardson in charge. The secretaries gave their re- ports. Mrs. Wesley Young presided for the Ladies' Aid meeting. The treasurer gave a report. Roll call was answered with a gift exchange. A presentation to Mrs. Frank Miller, Mrs. Lloyd Moffat and Mrs, John Crowston who have moved to Lucknow, was made by Mrs. Bill Evans. Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Mof- fat both spoke words of appreci- ation for their gift. Mrs. Crow- ston was unable to be present. Mrs. Bregman gave the topic, "Good Tidings to All People". The offering was re- ceived and dedicated. Prayer in unison closed the meeting and lunch was served by the hos- tess. Euchre Winners BELGRAVE--The last euchre for this year was held by the euchre club last Wednesday in the community centre with seven tables in play. High lady was Mrs. Margaret Nethery; high man, Bert Thomp- son; novelty lady, Mrs. Harold Procter; novelty man, Harold Procter; low lady, Mrs. Herson Irwin; low man, Herman Neth- ery.
