to the residence of James Currie on Summit Drive, Beau-
tifully lit with colored lights on the home, and Christmas
lights on small shrubs the home is well worth seeing.
1N SECOND PLACE in the competition
sponsored by the local branch of the Royal
Canadian Legion for Christmas decorations
is the office of Reg. DuVel. Urns at the
front contain a colorful collection of plastic
flowers. A cedar tree, hand painted in
white sets, off the other decorations and
lighting at the left corner of the building.

Mission Band
The Christmas meeting of
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Mis-
sion Band was held last week.
Christmas carols were sung as
the children gathered. The call
to worship was given. David
Fish led in prayer.
The Scripture reading of the
Christmas story was given by
Ruth Corrin, Donna Bennett,
Janice Rae, Connie Jamieson
and Alexa Currie.
The juniors, led by Mrs.
Gordon Welwood, presented a
Christmas play "It's Christmas
Time". The children taking
part were Cindy Beard, Karen
Welwood, Brian Shaunessy,
Margaret Arbuckle, Ronnie Mc-
Gee and Kendra Feagen.
A duet, "Away in a Manger'
was sung by Mary Ann Welwood
and Anne Balser.
Offertory ushers were Mari-
lyn Maclntyre, Marilyn Cong-
ram, Ruth Anderson and Paul
Fish. Margaret Arbuckle led in
prayer.
Marilyn Congram played
some favourite Christmas carols
on the accordion.
The seniors' play, "Christ-
mas Bells", was presented by
Ruth Hastings, Debbie Wel-
wood, Grace Corrin, Jeff An-
derson and Ricky Smith. The
birthday song was sung while
Cindy Beard and Anne Balser
placed their birthday offerings
in the birthday cake.
A scrapbook, made by Mrs.
G. W. Cruickshank, was shown
to the children and will be sent
to a mission school.
The children divided into
classes. Mrs. L. Balser used
flannelgraph pictures to tell the
story to the juniors and Mrs. O.
Iiastings gave the seniors their
last story from their study book
Bible story books were given to
the seniors from Mrs. Cruick-
shank as prizes won in the quiz
which has been conducted dur-
ing the year.
The leaders gave each of
the children a Christmas treat
and encouraged them all to
come back next year.
